Will Carrie end up being the old woman who lived in her shoes? It's just a matter of time before the movie reveals the truth! Such was Carrie's fear at one point in the series, when she found herself down and out in NYC.

Carrie's closet that Mr. Big built for her in the Sex and the City movie was unbelievable. But what I was mesmerized over were her brand new Manolo Blahnik Something Blue Satin Pumps ($895) that she placed on her shoe rack the first time she saw it. They dazzled sitting there all alone, waiting for their Jimmy Choo and Dior sole-mates to join them.

Here is a thoroughly modern Carrie look that didn't make it into the movie. Oh sh*t. Did I just spoil something?

Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw has become such a fashion icon, I often forget she's a fictional character. What's more, Sarah Jessica Parker personified the character so flawlessly, I refuse to believe the actress still doesn't dress up in Manolos and funky patterns when out and about in NYC. I love Halloween because it's a chance to dress like your favorite characters and one of mine is definitely Carrie B.

We've been in a frenzied excitement over our exclusive Sex and the City screening. Last weekend, PartySugar and I hosted a fabulous and fun Sex and the City party and everyone was asked to dress like their favorite SATC character or outfit. I started you off with this Erickson Beamon Arcade Ring ($195) because it evokes Carrie's glamorous eccentricity.

Now that many of you have seen the Sex and the City movie, you may have recognized the repetition of this line spoken by Carrie my-middle-name-should-be-Blahnik Bradshaw: "I like my money right where I can see it... hanging in my closet." This wasn't the first time Carrie used those very words, and they were brought back in the movie to perhaps drive home the "labels" half of the "two Ls" that were said to lure women to New York.

In Philip Galanes's latest Social Q's column, a 32-year-old woman wrote in saying that she'd decided that marriage wasn't for her. However, since she'd been in eight weddings and had to contribute oodles of presents over the past decade, she wanted to register for gifts for her housewarming party.
Galanes advises,
But the difference between their weddings and baby showers and your housewarming scheme is that their sole intent was not to rack up gifts.

In case you've been MIA, the whole Sugar gang finally saw the Sex and the City movie. But don't worry, I'm not going to utter a word about the story line. What I am going to open my trap about are the wardrobes of the fabulous foursome, courtesy of Patricia Field.
