Whether you're 6 years old or 30, the holidays are the perfect time to revel in all that glitters. Given, I don't need an excuse to wear such shimmering objects, but maybe you do. Glitter is more understated compared to its shine sisters — sequins and paillettes — and so perfect right now.

Like it or not, the evenings are definitely drawing in now that it is October which means sooner or later you're going to reach for the knitwear! I have noticed a lot of striped cardigans around at the moment which are perfect for daywear.

OK, so bold, bright fruit-punch coloured lipstick isn't groundbreaking for Spring, but it sure was a welcome change from all of the barely made up faces that we saw on the catwalks during New York Spring 2010 Fashion Week. New York Fashion week draws to a close today as fashionistas cross the channel to party in London. However, there have been a lot of great Spring shows in the Big Apple and lets not over look the little details that go in to making the looks so fantastic. Hmm, let's see. Where else have we seen '80s-influenced styles on the runways thus far? We caught a glimpse of the totally awesome decade with Derek Lam's rainbow of eye colors, Gwen Stefani's rocker chic looks at L.A.M.B., and we even experienced a touch of it from the twisted headbands at Charlotte Ronson.
