Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci feels "It’s important to give reality to women," hence why he's decided to take a more realistic approach to his Fall/Winter '09 ad campaign. "I wanted to give this feeling of going from a studio to reality." To be precise, this reality is set inside a gilded bedroom in the Château de Ferrières.

Who ever said models were dainty? Not me. They get to wear coveted clothes and attend fabulous parties, but what about posing mid-air on a ladder, or in this case, lugging around an ox in the frigid snowy mountains?

Mariacarla Boscono plus Emilio Pucci's Fall campaign equals perfection. The Italian model was the right choice for the label's latest ads. Her raven hair provides nice contrast against Pucci's psychedelic prints.

Mariacarla Boscono, Lara Stone, Lakshmi Menon, and Natashy Poly return to claim their spots in the black and white ads, but we have a newcomer, too. One of my favorite late-'90s Brazilian models, Ana Claudia Michels, has made a comeback thanks to the house.
Fab Ad: Chanel “Métiers d’Art” Collection
Coco Rocha, the model I likened to a turtle, stars in Chanel's “Métiers d’Art” Collection. The pitch black background is wonderfully effective because it allows your eyes to focus solely on the gorgeous, gaudy jewels and romantically brooding clothes. Everything about this is dramatic: the poufy hair, fluid poses, in-your-face accessories.
