Who Gets A Star in 2007?

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce board of directors has decided who will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. 23 stars have been announced and the list is:

Michael Caine, Matt Damon, Lauren Shuler Donner, Jamie Foxx, John Goodman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert Altman, Erik Estrada, Barbara Walters, Kiefer Sutherland, Jerry Stiller, Dick Wolf, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Mariah Carey, The Doors, Crystal Gayle, Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Tim Rice, Rodney Bingenheimer, Lily Tomlin and Stu Nahan.

Who knew Babs, Matt Damon and Mariah would ever end up on the same list together? Big month for Matty who just welcomed a baby girl as well. We look forward to seeing pictures of him on the set of Oceans 13 next month.

Mariah Shows Her Sexy Beach Body and Serious Side

Mariah Carey stripped off her clothes and teetered down the stairs for a beach photo shoot in Malibu yesterday. We saw Mariah getting playful with her husband Nick Cannon on Halloween and she showed off a couple of cut out bathing suits yesterday for the cameras, but this weekend a very different side of her will be on the big screen. Mariah's new movie Precious is getting award season buzz already and she's been opening up about her own difficult past while out talking about the troubling film. In it, sexy Mariah is almost unrecognizable but it sounds like it might be the ticket to making her name as an actress.

This fall, Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani will be going head-to-head on the charts-the fragrance charts, that is. As we reported last week, Gwen's launching L by Gwen Stefani and now Mariah's preparing to debut M by Mariah Carey. (What's with the one-consonant names, ladies?)

Women's Wear Daily reports that M will be a "floriental":

It has top notes of marshmallow and sea breeze accord, a heart of Living Tahitian Tiare and gardenia and a drydown of sheer amber, patchouli and Moroccan incense.

The eau de parfum will come in three sizes ($38–$58), while a .5 oz parfum bottle ($175) and a body lotion ($28) offer other ways to get Carey-ed away. To get a look at the bottle, just read more

What to Download: New Music Today

Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores. So I take a spin through each week's music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download.

Queen of the dance floor: I pretty much murdered my cassette of Madonna's greatest hits, The Immaculate Collection, which came out in 1990. Now, with Celebration, her third hits compilation, Madonna brings the party again. The title track is an upbeat dancer, but what you really want are her older songs that are mixed in with more recent hits, including "Hung Up," "Music," "Vogue," "Into the Groove," "Don’t Tell Me," and "Like a Virgin."

Divas are doing it for themselves: Even if your tastes aren't Mariah-level mainstream, you probably won't be able to escape most of the singles off of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel for the next few months. Mariah wrote and executive produced the entire album, which includes her stalker jam "Obsessed" which has already been getting lots of airplay. If you tend to like her pipes more on ballads, look out for "H.A.T.E.U." and "I Want to Know What Love Is."

Alt rock out: Paramore sprung on the scene last year with prime placement on the Twilight soundtrack. Since then, they've been nominated for a VMA, and today they release their third album, Brand New Eyes. The first single, "Ignorance," is a hard rocker, while the slower, bittersweet "All I Wanted" will please devoted fans and new listeners. I also predict "Brick by Boring Brick" will go places.

When she's not in a row with Eminem, breaking records for the highest amount of number one singles, or acting in Precious, (the highly anticipated film due out this November), Mariah Carey is selling perfume.

After much success with her first fragrance, M by Mariah Carey in 2007, the songstress is set to launch her sophomore scent, Forever ($42 to $65), this September. The line will also include a parfum ($250!) and a body lotion ($28). Of the inspiration behind the name, Mariah told WWD."I am in a wonderful place right now, surrounded by all the things I love, and Forever captures this moment in time."

Described as an opulent floral, the juice will have top notes of neroli, dewy green apple, and lotus blossom, along with middle notes of gardenia and tuberose. The drydown will consist of exotic woods and white musk. As for the bottle, its design is modeled after Mariah's appreciation for art deco stylings. Is it me, or are you reminded of Superman's fortress of ice crystals? Will you give Forever a shot, or are you thinking, forget about it?

Mariah Carey Shakes It Off

Mariah Carey is all over the place these days and she looks amazing. Recently in an interview on Oprah, she revealed that it took a lifestyle change (and a comment from a friend) to finally convince her to get healthy; but Mariah does admit that she's missin' her mac'n'cheese. Here are highlights:

Mariah says the most important part of her new, healthier lifestyle is her diet. Patricia (her nutrition and fitness coach) tries to cook Mariah's food without using oil and butter. She's also helped her stop snacking. When Patricia told Mariah to cut mac 'n' cheese out of her diet, Mariah says the news broke her heart. "That's the thing that I have difficulty letting go of because that's comfort food," she says.

Instead, Patricia incorporates lean protein and lots of veggies into Mariah's meals. On a typical night, she prepares foods like artichoke hearts with cherry tomatoes, steamed zucchini and chicken marinated with lemon and soy sauce. On occasion, Mariah allows herself to have one or two bites of her favorite foods - something she calls her "morsel diet."

Mariah says her workouts typically last for 60 to 90 minutes and combine cardio with resistance training. To tone her arms, Mariah uses her own body weight and stretches to sculpt long, lean lines. She likes to hop into a pool for the cardio portion of her workout. "What's great about working out in the pool is the water acts as resistance," she says. "You're actually exercising twice as hard without feeling it."

Since making the commitment to eat healthier and get in shape, Mariah says she's gotten down to the same jean size she wore in 10th grade. "For me, it's not about a number on a scale," she says. "It's not about necessarily even a size. It's about feeling good and being comfortable in your own skin. Right now, I feel really great. I feel better than I've ever felt."

I feel Mariah on the comfort food thing - I have that problem with mashed potatoes, garlic bread, cookies . . .
