Behind the Seams: Stella McCartney Turns on Christmas Lights

Last night, Stella McCartney hosted her annual Christmas lights event at her Bruton Street store. This year, Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt of the Mighty Boosh had the honour of turning them on as they put on their gladrags for the event! Stella received support at the party from her sister Mary, and celebrity pals Twiggy, Carly Lawson, Louise Redknapp and Jamie Redknapp. Stella wore a pair of lace side leggings (£750) with a satin jacket from her own collection, whilst Louise nearly stole the limelight in a see-through black jumpsuit.

Kate Moss Stands By Buddy Beth At Large Launch Party

Beth Ditto launched her clothing line for Evans last night, and her designs enticed an array of celebrities out into London for the party! Beth's long time buddy Kate Moss was there, alongside Sir Philip Green - whose Arcadia group owns both Evans and Topshop. Simon Cowell arrived with Terri Seymour and enjoyed a few laughs with Kate before heading to Cheryl Cole's birthday bash, while Peaches Geldof, Daisy Lowe, Luke Worrell and Kelly Osbourne also attended. Do you like Peaches' new hairdo? Gok Wan and Claudia Winkleman posed for photographers at the party, while Jamie Hince also enjoyed himself watching Kate and Beth karaoke it up, as they sang "Space Oddity" by David Bowie! What a fun night!

Behind the Seams: McCartneys Host Meat Free Monday

The McCartney family may all have talents that lie in different areas, but this week they all came together to work on one event – Meat Free Mondays! They're famously all vegetarians and want to encourage others to eat something other than meat for one day a week. The family called on support from celebrity pals for the launch including Kate Bosworth and vegetarians Laura Bailey and Kelly Osbourne.

Guy, Jemima and Lily Feel the Love at Freud's Christmas Party

London was buzzing with celebrity Christmas parties last night. While Pixie Geldof was throwing her own shindig across town, her dad Bob was at PR guru Matthew Freud's festive get together. It attracted a whole host of stars, from the McCartney sisters Stella and Mary to Claudia Winkleman, who must be getting excited about the final of Strictly Come Dancing tomorrow night! They were joined by Jemima Khan and Guy Ritchie, who are apparently getting on "like a house on fire". Lily Allen was on trend in her fringed Alberta Ferretti dress, which she accessorised with a YSL bag and big smile. Although she got in trouble for her "Womanizer" cover, Lily's new single "The Fear" is receiving love from Lindsay Lohan, who blogged on her MySpace page in the early hours saying: "I really like this track, the video is cute as well. go Lily!!"

Guy's Sherlock Crew Plus Hugh Show Their Art Appreciation

Guy Ritchie was joined by his Sherlock Holmes pals Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law (and Jude's sexy? moustache) at Sam Taylor-Wood's new exhibition Yes I No at London's White Cube Gallery last night. His rumoured new squeeze, Kelly Reilly, was nowhere to be seen, and Guy kept tight lipped about the rumours surrounding his divorce from Madonna. Sam's certainly a hunk magnet, also attracting Hugh Grant to the private view: he was full of smiles, so it looks like last night was free of any of those "creative differences" that led him to pull out of Lost for Words this week. Fab Flash: A New McCartney is Born!

There is a new addition to the McCartney family this week as fashion photographer Mary McCartney gives birth to her third child, Sam Aboud with partner Simon Aboud (pictured here at a Stella party with Mary last month).

Mary already has two children from her previous relationship with Alistair Donald. This puts Mary and Stella on an even keel as Stella gave birth to her third child back in January.

This might explain why Paul arrived back in the UK yesterday and why he was looking so happy (aside from having a lovely lady on his arm of course).

Congrats to Mary and Simon!

Stars Spring into Florals at Chelsea Flower Show

Kim Wilde wore her flowers big and blue, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen kept his florals small and pink, and Melinda Messenger accessorised her lovely floral dress with a pair of Wombles at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show's VIP Day in London yesterday. Wherever you find flowers you're likely to find creepy crawlies and Chelsea was swarming with Beatles-related guests too, as George Harrison's widow Olivia has designed a garden in memory of her late husband. She smiled in the garden with Ringo Starr, Mary McCartney took her own camera to the event, and George Martin also made his way around the displays. A whole host of other stars enjoyed the flowers on display too, including Michael Caine and Brian May and Patrick Moore.

Would you Wear Trainers to a Fancy Event?

Mary McCartney shocked me slightly this week appearing at the Lavender Trust party in a Stella McCartney Rhinestone top, jeans and red converse trainers! To me, this is a fashion faux pas and leaves Mary looking slightly like her father.

But maybe I am wrong, would you wear trainers to a fancy event?

Lovely Ladies Celebrate The Lavender Trust

A load of lovely ladies attended the 10th Anniversary Party of The Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care at Claridge's in London last night. Emma Thompson, Nigella Lawson and Thandie Newton smiled for pictures alongside Annie Lennox, who sang at the Lavender Trust's launch party back in 1998 and performed again at last night's anniversary party. Lisa Snowdon looked great in her pretty dress, as did Claudia Winkleman who went for big blue circles like Sophie Ellis-Bextor had the night before. Model Erin O'Connor wore a black Sofia Strazzanti dress: do you love it or hate it? It's great to see such a wonderful bunch of celebs supporting such a great cause.

Rihanna and Katy Keep the Paris FW Seats Filled

Paris Fashion Week rolled into the weekend and continued to draw a star-studded crowd to the runways. Katy Perry showcased a handful of looks while Rihanna kept her all-black streak. The girls checked out Jean-Paul Gaultier on Saturday and Karl Lagerfeld earlier today although they split up for the Sunday shows. Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend Nate went to the Giambattista Valli Pret a Porter runway this morning while Gwyneth Paltrow, who wore ankle length jeans, flew in from London to support her good friend Stella McCartney. The city is still full of celebrities flocking to check out the latest fashions although not all shows are getting great reviews.
