For many pregnant ladies, a dress is the next best thing to comfortable pajamas. While the mama–to–be enjoys a feminine look, frocks also allow belly freedom.
The Pouch maternity dress ($150) offers expectant mothers over half a dozen different ways to wear a single garment.

One of the benefits of being pregnant through Spring and Summer is the plethora of comfortable, loose dresses to cover my expanding belly. No need to decide between over-the-belly or under-the-belly pant panels, dresses speed up the morning dressing routine by eliminating the need to assemble outfits.
Taking their cue from the runway trends, this season's maternity dresses embrace everything from the maxi style seen here in the Gap's smocked empire dress, to colorblock trends to perennial maternity favorites such as wraps and florals.

While most women are pulling lighter clothes out of their closets in anticipation of warmer weather, mamas-to-be due in Summer and Fall are searching for the ultimate items to take them through the rest of their pregnancies. More of Me Maternity's dresses and tunics are designed to do just that. Their "Take It to The Maxi" dress ($249) mimics the maxi dress trend seen on non-pregnant pals, but is made from 100% Modal knit, ensuring it remains soft and comfortable through multiple washings.

Once an expectant mama's picked out the best swimsuit to flatter her curvaceous figure, it's time to select something to protect that baby belly. From expensive designer tunics to inexpensive dresses, take a look at some of our favorite beach coverups that are sand, sea, and poolside appropriate.
- This strapless, lightweight Motherhood Smocked Dress ($20) is made of a poly/cotton blend, which can be worn both on and off the beach.
- Lilly Pulitzer's linen beaded beach cover up ($140) features her signature color patterns, one-button closure, and plenty of detail to keep it interesting.
- Motherhood's babydoll swim coverup ($25) can double as a sun dress and is made from a cotton/spandex blend that will dry quickly.
- Old Navy's embroidered tunic ($25) can be worn over a bathing suit or a pair of cropped white pants to create a go-to Summer outfit.
- A Pea in the Pod's keyhole swim coverup ($58) will keep a mama's belly covered while exposing her décolleté.
- The smocked swim coverup ($68) brings a lot of color and detail to the traditional tunic – with bell sleeves and embroidery, as well as a smocked neckline.

Whether it's for her own baby shower or a Summer wedding, baby mama has got to outfit that beautiful bump in something comfortable and flattering. The little black dress does the trick and will work for more than one occasion. The wrap function will take her into her postpartum nursing days, too!

"First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in the baby carriage." Since that's not always the case and shotgun weddings are a bit dated, expectant couples can share the news and get hitched without hiding the bride's burgeoning belly thanks to the folks at Isabella and Oliver.
The designers have a special treat for blushing pregolicious brides — the fashionable maternity line is introducing wedding gowns that will flatter engaged mothers–to–be at more than reasonable prices.

Oh, those summer nights! Celebrate the warm months in looks befitting of a hot mama-to-be. Whether you are heading out to a party or a night on the town, a simple shape and a bold color flatters every expectant figure.

The glitz and glamour of a black tie affair is enough to get any mama giddy about a night on the town. Trading in the sweats for a beautiful gown and primping in front of the mirror – be it for a fancy wedding, a charity event or a school function – can make a mom forget the bickering tots she leaves at home for the evening.
Though Heidi Klum makes it look effortless, finding a maternity dress that flatters an expectant mama's assets and hides her growing bump – especially in her last trimester – is no easy feat.

Any woman will tell you the LBD is a critical wardrobe piece for work and play. You don't have to let go of your favorite always fashionable crutch just because your belly is growing and you're not-so-lil any more — plenty of designers have pretty and chic maternity LBDs.
One of my favorites right now is the abs one shoulder dress (on sale for $150) because it has the same feel of the flowing Maxi dresses Gwen Stefani and Angelina Jolie wore while pregnant with their now infants.
