UK Celebs Celebrate Halloween!

While the US celebs certainly pushed the boat out for Halloween in their costumes, here in the UK our stars dressed up too! Jonathan Ross held a celeb-packed party, The Saturdays enjoyed a birthday / Halloween bash while Anna Friel, Pixie Geldof and others put on their gladrags and went out on the town. What spooky fun!!

Katy, Alesha, GaGa, Amy and More Rock the V Festival Stage!

Superstar singers took to the stages in Chelmsford and Staffordshire for V Festival this weekend. Katy Perry, Lady GaGa and Alesha Dixon impressed on stage in their outlandish outfits. My girl FabUK has the lowdown on all the stylistas, and I've got videos of the big performances - check them out after the jump. Lily Allen took time out from the cricket to sing on stage, and musicians from both sides of the Atlantic entertained the crowds.

Brandon Flowers, Johnny Borrell, Dizzee Rascal, Mike Skinner, McFly, Natalie Imbruglia, Taylor Swift, Pixie Lott, Daniel Merriweather, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, The Script and The Saturdays all performed. The big disappointment was Oasis were a no-show due to Liam Gallagher's viral laryngitis, but the big surprise was Amy Winehouse's appearance on stage with Pete Doherty and The Specials: you can watch her performance after the jump.

Tom Can McFly Live On Stage!

Following their trip to Brazil, and surprise appearance on stage with the Jonas Brothers while the American teen sensations were in London, McFly played an energetic live show in Nottingham this week. The show was a success with hysterical fans throwing their knickers on stage at the band! Tom's very active on twitter these days as they're recording some demos for their next album between shows, and revealed that they're working on another song about female aliens. Interesting! McFly Rock Out In Manchester!

Those handsome boys from McFly have been touring the UK recently - check out these amazing live photos of their Manchester gig - and are now taking a well earned break before they head off to Brazil at the end of the month. You may have spotted them on Hollyoaks last week, while Dougie Poynter was rather miffed after seeing it, tweeting, "Dude, they cut my line from hollyoaks! My line was:.....no way.... It's Just My Luck all over again" Poor Dougie!

It's an exciting time for the band as they have their Radio:Active Live At Wembley DVD being released today, a handful of TV appearances before they leave for Brazil, and then some UK dates when they return, including the Isle of Wight festival. Geri, Rhys And Gemma Attend The Premiere That Rocked

A whole host of stars including Rhys Ifans, Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton, Sir Paul McCartney, Danny and Tom from McFly, Tom Sturridge, Jonathan Ross, and a very glamorous Geri Halliwell were out in force for the London premiere of The Boat That Rocked yesterday. It's the latest movie from Richard Curtis and tells the story of a pirate radio station in the 1960s. Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Kenneth Branagh, Jack Davenport and Flight Of The Conchords' Rhys Darby join Bill, Gemma, Tom and Rhys in the celeb-packed film, which opens in the UK on April 1. Gemma looked stunning in her turquoise dress, but my girl BellaUK wants to know if you love her haphazard hairstyle, or hate it?

Dougie and Frankie Celebrate Rochelle's Birthday

It was another birthday date night for McFly's Dougie Poynter and The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford on Saturday night, as they stepped out for Rochelle Wiseman's birthday bash. Frankie's not the only bandmember to have bagged herself a famous beau though, as Una Healy had her sportsman boyfriend Ben Foden on her arm. I love Mollie King's rather eye catching pink dress, she looked stunning, and Vanessa White's yellow dress brought some of the weekend's sunshine to their night out! Hope you had a happy birthday Rochelle!

Dougie and Frankie's Birthday Date

Do I see a new supergroup on the horizon? It was The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford's 20th birthday at the weekend, and her bandmates took her out in Covent Garden to celebrate in style. Her boyfriend Dougie Poynter from McFly was also on hand to make sure her special day was perfect - and get blinded by the camera flashes! - along with his bandmate Tom Fletcher. Frankie's been in the business for a while now, she and her bandmate Rochelle were in the S Club Juniors, and she's admitted that she was concerned how McFly's fans would react to her dating one of their beloved band. However, she says that for every nasty comment, she gets "eight nice ones".

Throughout early December I asked you all to vote for your favourites of 2008. I announced a few last week, but now it's time for favourite British pop group. Your favourites are those lovely boys that make up McFly- Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd. Fearne Gets Festive With Xmas TOTP Lineup

Fearne Cotton was out and about at the weekend, heading back and forth from the Radio One studios in central London where she presents her shows. The Top Of The Pops Christmas Special is returning this year following a successful campaign for its return, and Fearne will be presenting as usual. Take That, Girls Aloud, Pussycat Dolls, Duffy, Kaiser Chiefs, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and McFly are slated to appear, alongside woman of the moment Alexandra Burke. I can't wait!

Which Is Your Favourite British Pop Group?

Here at Sugar UK HQ we love a bit of homegrown pop, and these four groups have been at the forefront of it this year. The X Factor judge Cheryl Cole's day job - Girls Aloud - have had a great year, as have our other big British girl group the Sugababes. Take That's comeback has also gone from strength to strength, and McFly returned to prominence with their latest album released on their shiny new record label. For our Best of 2008 series, I'd love to know which one you like the most - so tell me, which is your favourite British pop group?
