When it comes to losing weight, it is easy to think that skipping meals means less food which means fewer calories in. It can seem counterintuitive but skipping meals could be one of the worst ways to lose weight.
Here's why: When you skip a meal (or two, or three), your body starts to wonder why it's not getting any food and it will go into starvation mode.

I'll admit that I'm a creature of habit. I eat my meals and snacks at pretty much the same time Monday through Friday. I eat breakfast when I wake up, have a little snack around 10, lunch by 12:30, another snack around 4:00, and dinner by 7:30.

If you want wee ones to take another little piece of your heart, serve it up on a pretty platter. We all know fish is good for the heart and full of protein so introducing it to tots at a young age will teach them to eat healthy. A cinch to cook, salmon is a tasty meal that leaves very little clean up behind.

It is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and the subject can't really be contained to one week. When thinking about eating disorders, and frankly getting a little sad about them, I remembered a positive news story I read a while back. There was a study on family meals and eating disorders, that as mother of two girls I found heartening.
