In a stunning move, Attorney General Eric Holder announced that federal drug enforcement officials will no longer raid medical marijuana facilities. This may come as a surprise, since the feds have been cracking down on medical pot since California voted to legalize it in 1996. But Holder says we shouldn't be so shocked; after all, Barack Obama did promise to stop prosecuting medical usage during the campaign.

Created for the Advanced Medical Institute, a Sydney-based provider of treatment programs for fun things like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, it shows the police breaking into a couple's bedroom and telling a one-minute man they'll give him a speeding ticket unless he calls AMI for help.

When it comes to over the counter medications, keeping your child safe is a parent's number one priority. OTCsafety.org recently launched a campaign to educate moms and dads on the proper use of cough and cold medications with a few simple recommendations. Grey's Anatomy star and mother of three, Chandra Wilson, signed on as the spokesperson.

The California Supreme Court clarified the state's medical marijuana law yesterday, deciding unanimously that individual suppliers can be prosecuted even when dealing to patients with doctor approval. Sellers, who are not caretakers, or fellow medical marijuana cooperative members, will not be protected from the law.
Patients will most likely turn exclusively to marijuana collectives and cooperatives to get their fill.

Where you live affects many elements of your daily life, like how often you walk to your destination as opposed to drive. Based on a new study by Kaiser Family Foundation, which side of the Mason-Dixon line you live on could affect how medicated you are.
According to numbers compiled by the Kaiser Family Foundation the top ten medicated states, based on the number of retail prescriptions filled per capita annually, were in the South.

Does a spoonful of sugar really help the medicine go down? Any parent who has had a sick child on their hands knows how hard it is to force-feed them their medicine. Kenny Kramm, a father and future pharmacist, had this same issue with his children.

OK...we've all probably done it once in our lives - taken a medication and then later realized is was way past its expiration date. But does it matter? Do medications really expire?
