The trailer for Youth in Revolt has got me intrigued, as it doesn't look like your average boy-meets-girl tale. Michael Cera plays awkward Nick Twisp, who meets the girl of his dreams Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) while on a family holiday. Determined to win her over, he goes to extreme lengths, and turns his life upside down in his pursuit of his love.

I haven't read the book on which Youth in Revolt is based, so there are more than a few parts of this trailer that are lost on me. Still, it keeps my attention and the questions I have are ones that I think will actually propel me to see the movie, rather than make me want to avoid it. It's a bizarre-looking story about Nick Twisp (Michael Cera), a cynical teenager who decides that Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday) is the girl of his dreams, and he'll do anything to win her heart.

Yesterday Buzz got the scoop on the new Facebook movie, which is apparently a legitimate project being pursued. Honestly, when Aaron Sorkin joined Facebook last year, I definitely thought The West Wing creator's profile and rumors of the film were a hoax, but it appears everything is on the up and up. I was only mildly interested in the movie, rumored to be called The Social Network, before Buzz found out that David Fincher, of Zodiac and Fight Club, may be directing.

The trailer for the new movie from director Harold Ramis, Year One, kind of confused me. How were two cavemen types (Michael Cera and Jack Black) bumping into Romans? What?

Michael Cera and Jack Black coordinated in purple accents for the premiere of Year One in NYC last night. Their costar Christopher Mintz-Plasse was lucky enough to have gorgeous Zoe Kravitz on his arm, who stood out in her glittery dress among all the funny men on the red carpet. Ed Helms also came out to show his support, and even though The Hangover will be getting some competition at the box office this weekend, he and the boys already have a sequel in the works.

It looks like Michael Cera (or maybe someone pretending to be Michael Cera) has been thinking "aloud" (or via Twitter) about future Superbad projects. He first twittered that he wants to do a movie with Jonah Hill and Jason Bateman (ending with the words: "Good idea?!"), and then he followed up with this one:
Decided I'm gonna contact Jonah and Jason tomorrow. See what they think about doing a movie.

From the trailer, Paper Heart looks like a sweet movie about a girl taking a road trip to film a documentary investigating love, as she's pretty pessimistic about the possibility of it. Charlene Yi stars and has support from a great cast including Michael Cera, Seth Rogen, Demetri Martin and Martin Starr. It will be out in the UK later this year and I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I'd love to know what you think.

Funny, adorable duo Michael Cera and Charlyne Yi are sweet enough for a whole movie about love, but as an added bonus to the cute-looking Paper Heart, several other great, hilarious people (like Seth Rogen and Demetri Martin) make cameos. In this new trailer, it looks like the movie starts out as a documentary (er, "documentary") about love, with Charlyne Yi interviewing folks around the country — from older couples to little kids on a playground — about their takes on the subject. But everything changes when Charlyne herself finds love with Michael Cera.

Funnymen Jack Black and Michael Cera have teamed up for new movie Year One, in which they star as a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers who get banished from their primitive village, and then end up going on an epic journey through the ancient world.
Olivia Wilde, Paul Rudd, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Oliver Platt and David Cross are just a few of the actors that show up along the way in this movie, directed by Harold Ramis. It looks like a traditional road trip buddy film, with the twist of the time period, and the trailer did make me laugh which definitely makes me want to see it.
