Is Michael Jackson's Clothing Line Hip?

Michael Jackson has decided to jump aboard the celebrity clothing line bandwagon, with the help of his buddy Christian Audigier. His designs will be sold exclusively at Kitson this fall, and owner Fraser Ross has already shown his faith saying, "I think people will think it’s hip to wear his line." We're interested in sister Janet's lingerie line, but tell us - do you think a Michael Jackson clothing line is hip?

It's Heeeeere... Stella McCartney's Gap Collection!

Stylish mamas can breathe again... the wait is over! When word broke that Stella McCartney was going to design a line of children's clothes for GapKids and BabyGap, fashion forward mums were chomping at the bit to get a peek at what would surely be a fabulous line sheet. And like she always does, mama Stella delivered.

I can't decide if Ellen Pompeo inspired her chic gray matter or if the late pop icon Michael Jackson had any influence on the rock star royalty's thrilling juvenile look. Perhaps it is a mashup of the two that produced the zippered skinny jeans, leopard faced dress, a "Bad" military jacket, and the oh-so-cute pink ombre layered tutu. Whatever it was, we're lovin' the kick back to the 80s for our wee ones.

I've been wanting to host a Michael Jackson dance-off for a while now. Justin Talks Michael Jackson, Jeans and Jessica

Justin Timberlake was at Selfridges in London yesterday showing off his new range of clothes for his fashion line William Rast, which he runs with his buddy Trace Ayala. He posed with celeb fans Dizzee Rascal and VV Brown for photographers, sharing some big laughs with Dizzee, and also took to the catwalk with the models. Later in the evening he celebrated at Guy Ritchie's pub and celeb haunt The Punchbowl. While launching the clothing line, Justin talked about his girlfriend Jessica Biel and how she wears out the jeans from his label through so much use, good job she has a great connection! He also discussed the influence the late Michael Jackson had on him, saying:

"Michael was a huge influence. There’s something about Michael and his presentation of his music that I think influenced the world. It opened the minds of the world. I don't think anyone could present a song better than he could. I think there’s a million songs that have been written over time that are amazing works of art, but there's something about Michael's stage presence that will never, ever, ever be duplicated."

Freaky or Fabulous: Michael Jackson in Balmain

To add to the long list of Balmain fanatics is the one, the only, Michael Jackson. Michael was spotted running errands in a head-to-toe Balmain ensemble. The studded blazer is from the Spring '09 collection, the leopard spotted cropped jeans a la Fall '08. Need I remind these clothes are meant for women? Regardless, the clothes are dope, and reminiscent of Michael's '80s flavor. You be the judge!

Lindsay and Samantha Honor Michael With Fashion

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson both paid tribute to Michael Jackson with their choice of clothing as they went out to dinner at Matsuhisa sushi restaurant in LA last night. Lindsay wore a very MJ-eque jacket while Samantha's vintage tee did the talking. Both girls spent time on their Twitter pages last night talking about Michael's death as just two of the many celebrity voices in the choir remembering the king of pop.

On Our Radar: Madonna to Launch Clothing Line

Aside from a brief stint with H&M, it seems surprising that Madonna is yet to add a clothing line to her CV. Her style has defined decades and her penchant for revealing items has become synonymous with her music videos.

This morning it has been suggested that the Queen of pop is likely to collaborate with Christian Audigier on a fashion line. Audigier has previously been linked with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, as rumours circled about a collaboration.

Madonna and Audigier are expected to hold a big press conference in the next few weeks to confirm the plans but for now everything is being kept under-wraps. The Mirror implied that she would work with Audigier's Ed Hardy line but he has dismissed that, “It’s a completely new project. It’s a new brand. Actually, it’s more than a brand.”

Although nobody will yet confirm the collaboration Audigier told WWD, “I’m preparing a huge deal." The mind boggles as to what the line would include. She is a fan of Ed Hardy baseball caps (she is pictured this weekend sporting one) and is rarely seen on stage without fishnets!
