Avatar - See It or Skip It?

Here's your first look at the hotly anticipated movie Avatar, from Titanic director James Cameron. The sci-fi movie has been shot in 3D, and stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez. I'm intrigued to see this movie because of its mix of live action and CGI - it follows a paraplegic ex-Marine who "finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds." I'd love to know what you think, so check out the clip below and tell me - will you see it or skip it?

Paul, Vin and Michelle Get Fast And Furious In London

Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel brought Fast & Furious to London's Leicester Square last night, as they attended the premiere of the fourth installment in the high octane movie franchise. Boyzone's Shane Lynch showed up in full racing driver gear, alongside Sam and Amanda Marchant. Ben Adams also showed up to see the film, and rather randomly MC Harvey decided to lift his shirt and show off his abs for the crowd. Paul was looking rather delish in his sharp suit, definitely adding some manjoyment to the proceedings!

Charlize Struts Her Best Dressed Stuff

Charlize Theron took advantage of the warm weather in New York with a little plaid dress she wore on The View yesterday before joining her man Stuart and costars for a screening of Battle in Seattle. Charlize always manages to look fabulous from the red carpet to the beach, and her efforts earned her a spot as one of People's 10 Best Dressed Stars of 2008. While we're not sure if we agree with some of the other honorees, Charlize's style continues to impress us even after the results are in.

Sugar Bits - Michelle Rodriguez Out of Jail After 18 Days

Michelle Rodriguez has been released from jail after serving 18 days, one tenth of her 180 day sentence. The lucky actress was released due to the usual jail overcrowding. I'm starting to think we need more jails in LA. Besides, tough girl Michelle must be very disappointed, considering how much she likes jail. - TMZ

The California Department of Health has ruled that Cedars-Sinai failed to adhere to procedure when Dennis Quaid's newborn twins received a nearly fatal overdose of blood thinner, and has yet to determine whether or not to fine the hospital. Fortunately, the babies are at home now and are doing well. - The LA Times

Michelle Rodriguez is spending Christmas in jail. The bad girl checked herself into Lynwood Jail (aka Paris's temporary home) on Sunday afternoon to start serving her 180-day sentence after violating her probation multiple times. The judge made a point to say that she would not be let out early, but after her two-hour stint last year and watching Lindsay/Nicole this year, who knows how long she'll actually serve. - TMZ
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley (Team Serena and Dan on Gossip Girl) have apparently taken their on-screen romance into the real world and are actually quietly dating. Too bad for her high-school boyfriend, but score for another cute duo for matchmaker Josh Schwartz. - Gatecrasher

Michelle Rodriguez has been sentenced to 180 days in jail after she violated the terms of her probation for a DUI case. Not only was she unable to provide proof of completing her community service, but also consumed alcohol three times with her monitoring bracelet still on. She is, of course, still playing the tough girl role but we wonder how long that will last after 6 months of deserved jail time. - TMZ
Bobby Brown denied that he had a heart attack yesterday, claiming that he went to the hospital for a regular check up. Whatever was actually wrong with Bobby, we hope he's OK. - AP

Here's a difficult one for me. I like how Rodriguez' olive skin blends in with her satin Dolce dress and creates an is-she-isn't-she? effect. But those tanlines? No no no! As for Rose, this emerald green satin dress is adorable and complements her pale skin tone, but I'm not so sure about her bright pink lips and gold accessories. Help me decide!
