It's raining baubles: Thakoon, Alice + Olivia, and Milly have announced expansions into jewelry.
Thakoon Panichgul has been swooped up by Japanese fine jewelry brand, Tasaki, to serve as its creative director. “My goal is to approach jewelry design in the same manner that I approach clothing: always move forward but respect the past,” said Panichgul.

The Flintstones would be so proud to see how their Stone Age fashions have influenced some of fashion's best. Peep Jeremy Scott's Spring '10 collection to see what I'm talking about. The quirky designer featured an awe-inspiring line based off the hit '60s cartoon complete with bone barrettes, bright colors, and animal prints.

It's a pity colorful wintry caftans and tunics are reserved for warm weather. Why not throw one over cozy tights and fresh boots?

We all sang to ourselves, "Who's that girl?" when we saw Dakota Fanning in her black silky sweet jumper. She worked it, with her long, perfect gams, at the Today Show in NYC.

The fashion saga continued on Gossip Girl with Blair Waldorf looking like a beautiful hostess. In celebration of Chuck's appointment to Bass Industries, Blair wore a silk chiffon Milly top and See by Chloe tweed skirt. Notice how she kept the focus on her pretty prints by wearing minimal accessories and black peep toe pumps.

Whether with chain necklaces piled on top, as our example Lindsay Price flaunts, or simply untied, this invitation reads black tie not optional. The black tie detail is the pivotal player here, delivering a masculine/feminine message. Not so into bows?
