Vanessa 09's adorable sassy floral mini kind of reminds me of Kate Moss' floral mini dress for Topshop. I admire the puff sleeves and the headband worn as a belt. Very innovative and money-saving!

Dress You Up! Mini Dresses

For those who have legs and know how to use them, this is your time to shine. You've been living under a rock if you didn't notice that mini dresses are hot hot hot for Spring. This week I'm all about Dress You Up! and getting you all prepared for the dress surplus of the season.

You will notice my picks are solids with details like rosettes, trim, volume and pockets. I think the classiest way to wear a mini is with dignity; keep the pattern simple and modern and let your legs work it. Just my opinion but when sporting a raised hemline, the most stylish way is to be subtly sexy. One of my mottos is: if you've got it, flaunt it. So lucky leggy gals, these are for you.

The Look For Less: Chanel Bow Mini Dress

Kate Hudson wore this adorable Chanel bow mini dress to Tom Ford's boutique opening soiree back in early April. The frock looks as gorgeous off the runway as it does on. Of course, it helps that it's on a gal as petite and pretty as Kate! Though it took a while for an exact replica to be made, that day has come my Fab friends!

This Asos Jovanna Two Bow Dress with Chain, $68, is so similar, it can practically be Chanel's twin sister. It's black, it has two lovely bows, a long chain, and mini cap sleeves. A slight difference is that Chanel's bow is grey and Asos' is off-white, and obviously a big difference in quality. But no biggie, go on and get it before it sells out. Soon you'll be the Kate Hudson of your circle!

Chloe Swing Drop Orange Mini Dress: Love It or Hate It?

I first saw this Chloe Swing Drop Mini Dress, $2,280, on model Anja Rubik in Chloe's Fall ads. I loved it so much, I set the ad as my computer desktop background. Looking at it here, though, the quality of the dress is not as rich; it appears brighter and has more sheen and life in the ads. Still, I do admire the asymmetrical pleating. What about you?

Shakira attended the 2009 Bambi Awards in Germany last night showing off her figure in (another) Versace mini dress. The Columbian singer has become quite a fan of the classic design house as she wore one of their yellow frocks at the AMAs and a silver one to the MTV European Music Awards earlier this month. Yesterday we discussed Kristen's life aquatic in Proenza Schouler - I'm surprised more of you didn't love it. I thought it was youthful and unique. The Luna Nueva star stopped in Madrid in her favorite vampy color. Black. But she mixed her sheer top, black-bustier Elizabeth and James mini dress with blood-red pumps.
