Luella's fun, floral frocks have been making their rounds but I'm most smitten with the tiered floral mini skirt that bug-eyed model Masha Tylena wore at the Spring '08 show. The designer has proven that little girls aren't the only ones who can pull off this style. Now if only she could have made it more affordable . . .

Forever 21 is no stranger to high-fashion duplications, but this Floral Ruffle Skirt ($18) is one of the best so far. The colors aren't dead on, and the tiers are much bigger, but it's equally fabulous and much less pricey. Follow Luella and pair it with a casual tee, lace-up heels, and a cardi to get a playful Spring look!

Found! Katie Holmes' Missoni Mini Skirt

Remember last week when Katie Holmes sported a mini skirt and Louboutins at the beach in Cannes? To say she was daring is an understatement! Well, for Katie at least. You can be as bold as Katie because I found her M Missoni Striped Miniskirt, $355, while poking around the Fall collections. Preferably, I'd wear it to a fancy soiree instead of the beach...but then again, I'm not Mrs. Tom Cruise!

Fab's May Most Wanted

It's no surprise I am a shopaholic. I just love that I can share my many obsessions with you all! I thought it would be fun to share with you five things "Most Wanted" by Fab at the beginning of each month. Without further ado...here are my May Most Wanted! What do you all think? Oh, and I confess: I have already bought two of them - guess which ones!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Shoes Round Toe Patent Leather Pump in Violet, $325. I have been obsessing about these for months now; that color, that shape, have, want, need.
Alloy Convertible Gauze Short, $29. Gearing up for my trip to Greece next month (!) this little white tube/short number is perfect for my adventures!
American Apparel Interlock Mini Skirt in Black, $25. Ever since I saw Cam's hot little mini ensemble I've been jonesing for this look.
Hurley Palms Dress, $52. I have a weakness for surfer brands and this palm print is one of my favorite color combos - blue & red - and the print is artsy beachy.
Kooba Sloane in Grey, $625. Those criss-cross bands are hot and that grey color is so cool.

When I go for a run or hike, nothing bothers me more than my shorts riding up into my lady business. I'm constantly having to pull fabric out of places it shouldn't be in the first place, and it's more than annoying - it's quite uncomfortable too.

Check out the Sugar Mini Skirt from prAna. Could the name be any more perfect? I want to get one for all the Sugar gals.

It's got an elastic waistband and built in spandex shorts, so they'll stay put when you run. Plus, I know I don't feel comfortable running out in public in shorty shorts or tight spandex, so the skirt part will cover your booty, but will be short enough (they've got a 3 inch inseam) so you can run freely.

I am sure you all have a classic blue denim mini skirt in your closet; I think it qualifies as a wardrobe staple. But after being struck by white lightening and the resurgence of bright denim it's not surprising this warm weather skirt has taken on new forms. The new mini skirts are still fun and flirty but are freshly updated; I'm thinking a white one would be too cool for school.

Style for Style: How To Wear...Mini Skirts

We girls need to be careful when it comes to wearing mini skirts. Actually, in general we need to be careful when wearing any item of clothing that reveals a large part of our body. I cringe when I see girls wearing mini skirts wrong; a mini can be classy when worn correctly. Here are some tips to look cool in a mini:

Rule of thumb: keep it sleek by counteracting its inherent sexiness with some not quite as sexy items
On top, choose something more tame than a skintight tank or revealing blouse - wear a frilly blouse or a loose cami with a cool blazer.
Footwear should be minimal. I love minis with flats but if you need some height keep the heels chunky, as seen here at Derek Lam's Spring/Summer collection.
As for Fall footwear, same rule applies, and whether you wear a mini with tights or not, a flat knee boot or wedge boots are the perfect accompaniment.

Fab Tip: Turn Your Tube Into a Mini

It's safe to say most of you loved Anja Rubik's saucy look in the Giuseppe Zanotti Spring '09 ads. A few even wanted to wear her sequin miniskirt. More power to you. There are plenty of sequin skirts on the market but few are as body-hugging, colorful, and playful. Know what I mean? Follow my lead to find out how to get Anja's sequin miniskirt look . . .

Have any of you worn a tube top as a skirt? I have. It's possible but there are vital stipulations. First, make sure the tube top - like one of these eDressMe Sequined Tops ($45) - isn't cropped because, well, it won't cover your booty. For more coverage, you can pair your tube over a longer mini.

Second, don't try pulling this tube-as-skirt thing in broad daylight. It's a nighttime look that should be reserved for clubbing or dancing. And obviously, you can use this technique for non-sequin tube tops as well. Just make sure to pair it with a demure blouse or tee like Anja, or you'll end up looking trashy. You can also pair with an off-shoulder sweater for a sexier look or a blazer for a menswear vibe. Let your imagination run wild.
