This is the week for Broadway shows! Not only are the current theater selections raking in more cash than usual despite the economy, it also sounds like we'll soon be seeing two more musicals move to the big screen. I already told you about the plans for a Rock of Ages movie musical, and now comes word that Miss Saigon may be getting the film treatment too, with Lee Daniels in talks to direct.

So I may not play golf, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good comedy based on the game. (Remember that scene in Happy Gilmore when Adam Sandler squares off with Bob Barker? Classic.) Now Steve Carell may be joining the ranks of Sandler and Chevy Chase (Caddyshack!) with a golf movie of his very own.

First, a rumored bar fight involving Mischa Barton, and now Miss England? Whatever happened to sweet and demure?
Rachel Christie, the reigning Miss England, has to give up her crown and withdraw from the Miss World competition which will be held in South Africa next month because of an alleged bar brawl earlier in the week with another beauty queen, one Sara Beverley Jones (Miss Manchester).

Sienna Miller looked stunning last night at the afterparty following the opening night of After Miss Julie on Broadway, in which she stars alongside Jonny Lee Miller. Hugh Dancy, Claire Danes, Rachel McAdams and Anna Wintour were among those in the audience, and Sienna beamed during the curtain call. Reviews have been mixed so far for her Broadway debut, but Sienna looked relaxed and happy at the afterparty in a gorgeous Balmain dress.

Perky contestants vied for the crown of Miss Plastic Hungary this week. Only women who have gone under the knife were invited to participate in the artificial-beauty pageant held in Budapest. Botox wouldn't qualify you, but one contestant's surgically adjusted toes did get her included.

In an act of charity (?!), Belgium social worker Mathilde Pelsers and her daughter, 19-year-old beauty queen Aline Duportail, organized the first-ever "Miss Homeless" Pageant.
The pageant, which took place over two months and included 10 homeless female contestants, was designed to raise awareness for the homeless population, and awarded the winner, 51-year-old Theresa Van Belle with a one-year, rent-free apartment stay — and the title of "Miss Homeless."
While the motivation for the contest seems well-intentioned, the pageantry itself seems a questionable show of support.

Sienna Miller stepped out in New York City yesterday to walk her adorable little dog. Dressed casually in a hoodie, cropped trousers and a leather jacket, she matched her socks to the stripes on her top! Sienna's making NYC her home as she stars in Broadway play After Miss Julie, and there's been rumours that she's been seeing her ex Jude Law, who's also starring on Broadway in Hamlet.

Sienna Miller was full of smiles last night as she signed autographs in New York after finishing up a the first preview of her new show After Miss Julie which opens officially in October. It was Sienna's Broadway debut, and after the curtain call she went outside alongside costars Jonny Lee Miller and Marin Ireland to meet fans who had queued up outside the theatre! She had every reason to look happy too, as first reports say theatregoers were very impressed by her performance — well done, Sienna!

It is a fact of life that women are more physically able to have children at a younger age — hence the biological clock talk. However, today's women are less likely to fall into the role of Donna Reed and take on the homemaker tasks in their early 20s. Instead young ladies are out getting degrees, making a name for themselves in the corporate world and taking the time to enjoy a jaunt or two around the world.
