What to Download: New Music Today
It's a good day for entertainment! Besides the new DVDs today, I've got a few new music releases that should jolt your MP3 player to life.
It's electronic: Hot Chip's latest album, One Life Stand, is the fourth from the British electro-pop band, and though it's not quite as effervescent as 2008's Made in the Dark, there are plenty of crowd-pleasers.
New Music: Step Into the Sun With She & Him
Just yesterday we got word that Zooey Deschanel will star in a new HBO series, but first she's got an album to promote. Though She & Him Volume 2 won't hit us until March 23rd, there's some good news for fans of the Deschanel/M. Ward collaboration: the first single has been leaked!
Website of the Day: Gruvr
I've talked a lot about Gruvr in the past — how it's helped you find live music in your area — but now there's another reason to check-in with Gruvr today: it can help you give charitably to the survivors of the Haiti earthquakes.
By entering in your city with the special "Haiti Concerts" search, you can find shows that are donating to relief efforts. A ton of shows are being held over the next few weeks in my town (and beyond) so why not make plans to enjoy some great music this weekend, while helping those who need it most?

We've sampled some of the DVDs hitting shelves today, so let's dive into the music releases! Slim pickings this week, but everyone is talking about these two buzzy albums.

Cheryl Cole "Parachute" — Spin It or Sling It?
As well as singing on the Helping Haiti single, Cheryl Cole has just released the video for the third single from her solo album 3 Words. "Parachute" is an uptempo number and the video sees Cheryl dancing awesome Latin and ballroom routines with Dancing With the Stars' Derek Hough. We saw Cheryl perform with the pro dancer on her TV show Cheryl Cole's Night In in December, and now the full routine is on show ahead of the single's release on 15 March.

Simon Cowell and The Sun's Helping Haiti single has just received its first air play! The cover of REM's "Everybody Hurts" has an awesome lineup of singing talent, including Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Jon Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Kylie, Rod Stewart, Alexandra Burke, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Joe McElderry, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Mika, Michael Buble, James Blunt, James Morrison, Susan Boyle and Westlife. It's released for download on 7 Feb.
Grammy Press Room: How Kings of Leon Beat Taylor Swift
This year's Grammy winners may have been fairly expected names (Beyonce, Taylor, Beyonce again), but the ladies didn't get all the glory. Kings of Leon made their own waves, taking home Record of the Year for "Use Somebody." When they came back into the press room to reporters, they revealed just how they outdid some of the biggest names in pop music for the win.
Grammy Press Room: Stephen Colbert Wants to Sing For You
What's a guy like Stephen Colbert doing mingling with T-Pain, Jay-Z, and Lady Gaga? The comedian and TV host won Best Comedy Album for A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All at this year's Grammys, and also presented the first award of the night — much to the chagrin of his daughter in the crowd.
As to be expected, the funny man provided reporters with plenty of wisecracks about his win (and Lady Gaga) and even shared his favorite bands.

The Grammy Awards are tonight! Bella, Fab, and Pop are doing their usual celebrity spotting on the red carpet, so be sure to tune in with them to see the latest on what all the stars are wearing for the special evening.
