There's a silver lining to TV shows going into reruns, and it's more time to watch movies! Happily, today there are a few highly-anticipated flicks, and I've gone through them to tell you What to Netflix. My Sister's Keeper is a must see for mothers. Bring a box of tissues and prepare to empty your tear ducts during the entire experience. Unlike most films that escalate this one puts a lump into your throat just moments after starting.
Cameron and Abigail Keep Things Pretty in NYC
Cameron Diaz struck a sexy pose in white at the red carpet premiere of My Sister's Keeper in NYC last night. Her young costar Abigail Breslin chose a pretty pale pink while Rachel Zoe stuck with her staple drapey black. The movie is out tomorrow and will show us new sides of both Cameron and Abigail's acting abilities.
My Sister's Keeper — See It or Skip It?
My Sister's Keeper is an adaptation from a Jodi Picoult novel starring Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin and Abigail Breslin, about a family dealing with their daughter's illness and a huge decision that her sister makes. I really enjoyed the novel and I'm looking forward to seeing it brought to the big screen. Directed by The Notebook's Nick Cassavetes, the movie's out on June 26 in the UK.
Cameron Boldly Goes Bald?!
We've seen Cameron rockin' a few different hairstyles on the set of My Sister's Keeper, but yesterday she really wowed us with a bald cap. In the movie, Cameron's daughter is diagnosed with cancer, so we're thinking that her character shaved off her own hair to rally around her daughter — although this is a new twist on the story since it didn't happen in the book. We're pretty surprised that the film's execs asked Dakota Fanning to actually shave her head when she was originally signed on for the role, but it doesn't look like they held Cameron to the same standard.
Cameron Is Back To Work Keeping Her Sister
Cameron Diaz took a break from filming after her father's sudden passing last month, but she was back to work with her costar Joan Cusack on the set of My Sister's Keeper in LA yesterday. In this drama she plays a mom, so I'm guessing her wardrobe won't be as fun party girl as hers in What Happens In Vegas, but it's Cameron and she looks fabulous in just about anything. This movie sounds like a bit of a departure for funny Cameron, but this woman wants it all and she's got the winning smile and attitude to succeed at anything.
Cameron and Abigail Keep Each Other Company
Even though Abigail Breslin seems to be one of the hardest working (little) women in Hollywood, it looks like she was having a blast with Cameron Diaz on the set of My Sister's Keeper in LA yesterday. The little lady has had quite a week between the Kids' Choice Awards and the premiere of her new movie, Nim's Island, which also stars Gerard Butler. Since there have been rumors about a possible Gerard and Cameron love connection.
Cameron's Still Thinking Outside the Box For Now
Cameron Diaz was up bright and early for another morning of promoting My Sister's Keeper, this time stopping by The Early Show with her costar Sofia Vassilieva. The ladies discussed their roles in the tearjerker, but last night at the NYC red carpet premiere, Cameron was ready to talk about her next project. She shared her excitement about working with Tom Cruise again and how much she loved getting her Walk of Fame star with Tom and Katie watching earlier this week.
Breaking: Cameron on the Beach Without Bikini!
Usually when we see Cameron Diaz frolicking on the beach she's showing off her bikini body, but yesterday she was playing mom on the set of My Sister's Keeper in Malibu. She's still got her playfulness going in for a kiss with her costar Jason Patric. While, of course, she looks cute no matter how covered up she is I'm sure we'll see her showing some skin as the weather gets warmer.
Cameron and Gerard Already Making Couple Friends?
Cameron Diaz was dressing a little more conservative than her usual California-girl style on the set of My Sister's Keeper in LA yesterday with her co-stars. It still seems a bit odd to think of her playing Abigail Breslin's mother, but at least we know she'll be the hottest (and leggiest) mom on the block. I'm sure one Mr. Butler would agree — especially after their little A-List double date at Chateau Marmont over the weekend.
