Oh how I've missed featuring Sarah Michelle Gellar on Fab. Lucky for me, the expecting mommy was spotted at the Sunglass Hut, checking out its new SocialSun Station. I have to say, her outfit is one of the freshest I've seen in a while. The unique blue gathered skirt provides perfect pop against the darker hues, while her crisp navy jacket and black boots provide much-needed structure. Looking good, SMG! I wonder which sunnies she left home with.

The Look For Less: Elizabeth and James Artist Shirt

My recent infatuation with boyfriend shirts led me to this exquisite Elizabeth and James Artist Shirt ($225). The timeless cut goes with everything - long jersey skirts, shorts, mini dresses . . . . If I take the plunge, I'll wear it forever but that doesn't make paying that much for a button-up shirt right. Time to shop around!

Celebrity Style: Leighton Meester

Whether or not you like Leighton Meester's new bangs, let's turn our attention to her dazzling outfit at the Proenza Schouler show at New York Fashion Week. What a perfect way to look ladylike while still maintaining edginess. The bottom half of her ensemble - the metallic pencil skirt and velvet pumps - is very Blair Waldorf, while the Proenza Schouler sequined top keeps things from getting too stuffy. Her chain bracelet, chunky cocktail rings, and navy-blue clutch further up her cool-girl status.

London Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Peter Jensen

The inspiration for Peter Jensen for Spring 2009 wasn't exactly a secret. The show was titled 'Jodie' and the collection contained many references to Jodie Foster's onscreen '80s style. Taking lead from films like The Hotel New Hampshire and The Accused this collection included '80s preppy style with high-waisted mini skirts, oversized blazers and plenty of grey sweater sportswear. Long shirts were teamed with uber-short skirts with the tails of the shirt being visible below the skirt line.

The collection started young with monochrome and touches of floral and gradually got older with the introduction of red and eventually evening dresses with applique bright coloured roses and chiffon gowns. There were peaked caps and black sheer headscarves on their heads as well as white pumps and mustard brogues on their feet. There were androgynous suits with gingham shirts and floaty navy blue dresses with red and yellow patterns. It was very wearable yet made interesting with quirky details and references. 2008 Style Olympics: Great Britain vs USA

The 2008 Beijing Olympics kicked off on Friday with an amazing opening ceremony. Most of the athletes taking part in the games paraded around the birds nest stadium showing off their smart uniforms. Team USA had their uniform designed by Ralph Lauren and it even included newsboy hats. Great Britain wore a white blazer over a navy blue ensemble (skirts for girls, trousers for guys - very traditional). Fab US already asked if you loved the USA ensemble but now I wanna know which do you prefer, Great Britain or USA?

London Fashion Week, Autumn/Winter 2008: Luella

Valentine's Day has proved to be a big day for London Fashion Week from the opening show by Asprey to the closing with a highly anticipated return from Vivienne Westwood. The second show of the day was by celebrity-favourite Luella. This season was not short on support with an A-list front row including Kelly Osbourne and Lily Allen. When looking at Luella's Autumn/Winter collection it's easy to see why she's so popular. Her clothes are the perfect combination of feminine, fun and modern.

This season the collection was heavily inspired by folklore with cute embroidery detail, rainbow ribbon and puff sleeve shirts. Navy blue and orange were key colours proving that bright colours are here for another season and that navy is definitely the colour du jour. Body con dresses with ice skating skirts were made softer with bright coloured clogs and stitched patterns. Accessories were kept big with applique and metal hardware.

All the models had crimped hair and many wore pointed elf-like hoods. Does this herald the return of big hair?

London Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Aquascutum

British brand Aquascutum is known for inventing the first waterproof cloth in 1853 and creating the raincoat to protect the English from the unpredictable weather. Given those facts, it's not surprising the Spring collection was chock full of outerwear. The majority were simple with clean lines, functional yet stylish. Interesting were the necklines, which included spread and motorcycle collars. They came in muted colors like navy blue, khaki, black and grey. A few khaki coats were doused with pops of fuchsia and red, which was refreshing among a sea of neutrals.

A couple dresses with paisley and floral patterns and bright hues were spotted, as well as skirt and blouse combos in solid colors like navy blue and orange. The most interesting piece was a cropped fuchsia pant, which was uncharacteristic of Aquscutum. Then again, you can always expect the unexpected in fashion.

Graduate Fashion Week 2008: Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent has got one of the best names for fashion design outside of London. They produce high quality students with Paul Smith being the most famous (and proud) of their alumni, regularly sponsoring the graduate show. This years graduates were impressive with many of the young designers including knitwear in their collections. Hannah Rodman built on a staple knitwear item, the cardigan for her line which saw the item sewn together for new pieces including skirts, hareem pants and jackets.

Leona Gardner-Chan took lead from a classic South American knitting style designing and making brightly coloured knitwear that was quite angular. A star print motif appeared throughout.

Taking inspiration from Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer line Emilie Maddison Carter integrated feathers in to her line producing high glamour pieces, including a gold silk wide leg jumpsuit with feather appliqué.

Many students take on the continual trend of luxe sportswear but it's difficult to pull off. Nicole Murray did just that with her navy blue and white line of luxury sportswear which created pretty feminine pieces out of airtex. She layered it over gold lamé for a sheer appearance.

Lulu Zhao took the themes of volume and armour to a new level with pieces produced from lino. The fabric that is usually reserved for kitchen floors was included effectively creating a bold new silhouette.

2008 Graduate Fashion Week: London College of Fashion

It's that time of year again when a whole new bunch of graduates are released in to the real world with their fresh, young talent. Yesterday, BA graduates from the London College of Fashion showed their final collections at the Royal Academy of Art. This year the level of talent was high as competition for jobs in the industry grows. Giles Deacon and Matthew Williamson attended the show possibly increasing the pressure on the young designers.

Common themes ran thoughout with the colour du jour navy blue being the most prominent with plenty of nods to military style and many uses of mixed textures. Ma So presented a cute collection of applique pieces with a postal theme featuring envelope and stamp detailing. Susanne Johnson also used applique in the form of metal flowers on pale denim.

Taegun Kim impressed with a line of soft brown leather pieces including Belstaff-esque jackets and capes. Quirky detail such as tiny masks on the bottom of a leather skirt showed his creativity with the medium.

Jacqueline Rousseau closed the show with a futuristic line of clothing using a metallic palette, shots of bright colour and chainmail.
