Social networking sites have long been popular with teens, and now researchers are saying they're becoming increasingly popular with younger kids, too. I don't think anyone's surprised by the findings; though both Facebook and MySpace require users to be at least 13 years old when signing up for accounts.
A researcher quoted in the CNN article says:
"Of course they are [using social networking sites].

Cataloging your trillions of social networking accounts makes cleaning out your packed closet feel like a walk in the park with an ice cream. There's TeamSugar, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Flickr, Picasa, Twitter and every other revolutionary community you signed up for to spy on friends and explore the digital landscape. I don't have enough mental bandwidth or time to keep up with every community, but I have come up with a few tricks for keeping up with all my friends across the world wide web.

The Food Network will soon be getting a little sister. Yesterday, Scripps Networks Interactive announced it plans to launch another culinary channel next year to replace lifestyle channel Fine Living, or FLN. The new network, to be called the Cooking Channel, will debut in the Fall of 2010.

Nothing to hide here: from time to time I like to Google myself, just to see what comes up. After all, you never know who's going to search for you from a potential boss to a potential date. Even Kristen Stewart admits to self-Googling, as do a few other celebs.

Based on the previews, I was actually looking forward to last night's Next Food Network Star. I'm a big Alton Brown fan and the commercials made it look like it was going to be an interesting drama-loaded trainwreck. So naturally, like all drama-loaded trainwrecks, I couldn't wait to watch.

In all of my Top Chef excitement, I've completely forgotten that The Next Food Network Star starts this Sunday, June 3. Word is the show is going to kick things up a notch in order to compete with other food-related reality shows. - Food Network Addict
