Nick and Vanessa Share Birthdays and Parties

It must be fate, not just non-stop vacations, that keeps Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey together because the couple share a birthday - November 9 - just seven years apart. Earlier this week Vanessa paid a visit to the vet to have her cute pup Wookie's cast taken off. Then to belatedly celebrate their special day Nick and Vanessa partied with, oh, hundreds of their closest friends in Las Vegas at LAX nightclub on Wednesday. In a pre-party interview, Nick reflected on his year, saying, "2007 has been a rebuilding year for me… music, studio, learning things about who I am as a man... I think it’s exciting." Cute doggy, cute couple... seems like Vanessa and Nick have all the ingredients for a pretty great b-day.

Nick and Vanessa Aren't Business As Usual?

Photographers caught up with Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo out and about in LA last night. It's been a while since we've seen these two together while Vanessa's been enjoying spring break fun and Nick gears up for his new Fame-inspired show on MTV. Unfortunately, it sounds like all may not be all sunshine and rainbows - Vanessa apparently stopped by Baron Davis' surprise birthday party over the weekend where she acted cold to fans and avoided cameras. Definitely a little odd considering how much she seems to love a photo op.

Just a few miles down the road from another celebrity date night Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo went out for a romantic meal at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks yesterday evening. The couple still had their poolside bronze glow from their time in Utah, and Vanessa looked gorgeous in her elegantly casual outfit - click here to get her look. It hasn't been all romantic vacations and dinner dates for these two - she's been working on her movie while Nick films his reality show which premieres July 20.

Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey heated up an already scorching day in Salt Lake City, UT with their hot bathing suit bodies. The duo enjoyed their typical fare - cold beer - out on the lounge chairs. Nick's been in town shooting High School Musical: Get in the Picture and the lucky man got a visit from his favorite lady while on his day off yesterday. We all know how much this duo loves a little vacation and they sure do look good and relaxed doing it. With the Fourth of July right around the corner we should be seeing a lot more of our favorite celebs slipping into those swimsuits and vacation mode - fun for us, we do love seeing all those bikini bodies.

Lindsay and Sam Have an Ex-hausting Party Life

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson kept up their active social calendars last night, partying with Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo at Crown Bar in LA. One party LL and Sam decided to skip out on was Sam's own 31st birthday party with her twin on Tuesday night, which was so crowded with press the couple left for some privacy. That's not the only drama they've dealt with recently - they ran into LL's exes Calum Best, Harry Morton, and the recently incarcerated Courtenay Semel at the Apple Lounge party. Although Lindsay's rep said it wasn't awkward, apparently the actress was constantly rubbing Samantha's back to comfort her. Luckily these two ladies are used to dealing with drama by now and seem to have no problem taking it all in stride.

Vanessa Gets What's Left of Nick

Everyone seems to be watching Nick and Vanessa very closely. US Weekly caught them together in these photos in Toronto. After his performance and where Vanessa was cheering Nick on the twosome were seen getting very cozy. US reports:

The duo later headed to club Mink, where Minnillo danced to Nellyâ€™s â€œHot in Herreâ€? as Lachey sat and watched. After 3 a.m., the pair retired to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel. The following day, Lachey and Minnillo went to the Courthouse Chamber Lounge, where, a source says, â€œthey were fully making out. Clearly they were both having a good time.â€?

The Scoop reports that Jessica is "devastated" about Nick and Vanessa being together since the girls used to be friends. Apparently Jess confided in Minnillo about her issues with their marriage. Vanessa helped urge Jessica to leave Lachey. Hmmm.....wonder who thought up this story (coughing Pimp Daddy Simpson under my breath)?

CAN'T BUY LOVE Crooner Nick Lachey and MTV veejay Vanessa Minnillo were just paparazzied swapping spit in Mexico, but when they hit the swag suite at Canada's MuchMusic Video Awards, "It was like they didn't even know each other," according to a Lowdown spy who witnessed their weekend visit. "Nick didn't want to come into the gift lounge unless his whole band could shop, too" â€” at $20,000 per swag bag. As for Minnillo, "She was on one side and he was on the other side of the room. At the Glam jewelry station, she said out of nowhere, 'Nick and I have the same birthday'" â€” Nov. 9 â€” "and then she basically said, 'It's either going to be great for us or it's going to be a total disaster.'" Minnillo even picked up some 2xist men's boxer shorts, but claimed they were for her personal use. At Sunday's awards, Lachey performed his breakup hit "What's Left of Me" and attended solo.

How cool was it that he would not go if he could not hook up his whole team. Just another reason to love Nick Lachey!

Nick and Vanessa Hot in NYC

Nick and Vanessa are in NYC and apparently they were all over each other while partying at Butter in the comfort of the VIP club. However, earlier that day it was Vanessa who was all over Nick but he would not give up the kiss she was hoping for. Click here to watch Vanessa try so hard for some PDA. As for their night at Butter, People reports their night, song by song:

Lachey, in jeans and a button-down shirt, and Minnillo, in a red dress, began the night chatting in their booth with Russell Simmons before Minnillo danced on the banquet to Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" and "Gasolina."

When Jay-Z's "99 Problems" came on at around 12:45 a.m., Minnillo indulged Lachey in what would be the first of several lap dances.

Shortly thereafter, she was up on the banquet again, dancing with Jamie-Lynn Sigler to the Jackson 5's "Want You Back" and "Sweet Home Alabama."

When Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" came on, Minnillo settled into Lachey's lap and sang it to him. But the song that Lachey enjoyed the most was the Rocky theme, "Eye of the Tiger," which got him waving his arms and moving his head to the beat.

Later, Lachey did shots with Wilmer Valderrama, who was holding court with friends including Erika Christensen.

Finally, Lachey and Minnillo left at 3 a.m., holding hands.

Nick's Love Life is Really Important

US Weekly decided to forget about Melgate and all the crazy LL stories this week to bring us a very important cover story about Nick and his new lady. A little weird right? Anyway, it's pretty funny to see this cover and the reasons Nick prefers Vanessa considering the last post I just wrote about Chestica.

“She’s a guys’ girl,” says a friend of the couple. “Jessica was always about going somewhere that was a scene with a big entourage. Vanessa can play darts and chill.” Minnillo also scores points for being a fellow sports nut. Whereas Simpson rolled her eyes at Lachey’s passion, Minnillo revels in it.

In fact, when she and Lachey were still in the platonic friendship stage, “Nick commented on his love for the [hometown NFL team], Cincinnati Bengals and Vanessa blew him away by running off the team’s poor stats,” says a Lachey source. “He tells friends, ‘It’s like talking to your best guy friend, but she’s a smoking-hot chick.’”

On a snarkier, note, a Minnillo pal adds, “Nick keeps telling Vanessa the difference between her and Jessica is that she is extremely intelligent.”

Hills Girls and Celebrity Parents Make Time to Be Heroes

Big-hearted stars of all ages got together for a sunny afternoon in LA yesterday at the 20th annual A Time For Heroes Celebrity Carnival to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz brought Bronx to his first charity event, where he stayed close to mom and dad at the t-shirt making booth - check out an adorable video of Bronx below. Heidi Klum was there with her three kids who could not get enough of the giant slide. Most of The Hills girls made appearances though Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth showed up after Kristin Cavallari had already done her red carpet walk. Stephanie Pratt was preoccupied thinking about Heidi and Spencer down in Costa Rica while Lo joked that the carnival was more her speed than bug eating when it comes to charity. The Disney stars were also out in full force including Selena Gomez and a performance by Miley Cyrus to round out the day of philanthropy, delicious food and wholesome fun for so many families.
