Nicole Richie Shows Us Her House of Harlow

Nicole Richie arrived hand-in-hand with her little sister Sophia at Kitson in LA on Saturday to debut her House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line. She was draped in jewels from the collection and looking angelic in a gold headband and white flowy dress. As crowds of fans gathered outside waiting for their turn to meet Nicole, we were lucky enough to be invited inside to catch up with her and check out her beautiful work. She spoke about the line, balancing her roles as both mom to Harlow and designer, and what we can expect next from the brand. Here's more and check out the video after the jump:

Question: How did your jewelry line all come together?
Nicole: I had the idea to do the line about two years ago and it took that long for everything to really come together. I met Pascal [Mouawad] and he’s such a genius. I really respected him so I knew 100 percent that that’s who I wanted to partner up with and I'm really happy that I did.

Q: You had a baby in that time; how do you find the time to do all this?
N: I think there’s 24 hours in a day, and if you schedule it right it just all works out.

Q: Can you talk a bit about your inspiration behind House of Harlow?
N: I’m really inspired by the '60s and '70s. I have a pretty big collection of vintage jewelry so this particular collection was based off of that.

Q: You talked a bit about that collection of jewels and pieces from your family in InStyle last Fall. Are there any particular pieces you’re excited to pass down to your children?
N: Definitely! I would be honored to. My mom has passed down so many great pieces to me so that would be really great.

Q: Do you have any favorite pieces in the line?
N: The headpieces are definitely my favorite.

Q: Are there any plans to expand House of Harlow?
N: Yes! I just partnered up with a company and we’re going to be expanding House of Harlow. We’re going to be doing sunglasses, belts, bags, clothing . . . so I’m very, very excited.

Q: When is that coming?
N: Well probably the first thing will be out next year. We’re going full steam with it.

Q: Any plans to design for your charity at all?
N: Definitely! When the right opportunity comes along, yes. I love helping people.

A Few Fab Words With Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie thinks there's nothing cuter than a little boy dressed in a suit. I know this because she told me. Well, it is pretty cute. We snuck Richie away at a recent fundraiser event to talk charity, fashion, and her evolving brand House of Harlow. This happened the night after the Chanel party, so as you can see, Fab was on a celebrity binge. I think I got my fix after an intimate chat with the funny and laid-back Richie at the Cusp Boutique in LA. Nick Verreos, Project Runway alum and friend of Nicole, was also there so stayed tuned to hear what's new with him.

Nicole partnered up with Signorelli to create T-shirts benefiting The Children's Health Fund. She proudly announced raising $400,000! She was wearing the black tank with Angel motif - stay tuned to enter to win the tank Nicole was wearing that benefits the Fund. But first, a few Fab words . . .

What brings you here?

We’re partnering up with Signorelli to raise money for the Children’s Health Fund. Just in Los Angeles, there are 500,000 children without health care and by selling the T-shirts a large amount of the proceeds are helping to fund building for mobile units. So the mobile units can go around and provide immediate health care.

Did you have any say in the design of the shirts?

I didn’t but they sent me options and I went with the black tank, I wear a lot of black.

Can we talk about your jewelry line that’s in the works?

Yes. It’s called House of Harlow and it’s actually the beginning of a brand that I’m developing of children’s apparel and also a clothing line, shoes, bags, sunglasses, everything. I’m really excited. The jewelry is first and it will be out in late August.

Can you tell us about the children’s collection?

I’m at the very beginning stages but I’m designing adult clothes for babies. The girl’s clothes are designed after my personal clothing and the guy’s clothes are going to be designed after Joel’s.

So it’s going to be like a mini-me sort of thing.

Yes, exactly. So little hippie dresses for girls and sleeveless tops and suits for boys. I think there’s nothing cuter than a little boy dressed in a suit.

And what else are you wearing?

I think the jacket is Stella McCartney - is it? - the pants are Balenciaga, and Loubs. (And she was carrying her black Balenciaga motorcycle bag – with iPod headphones falling out).

How would you describe your personal style?

I don’t know how to answer that! I really don’t know, I feel like I wear the same thing every day. I just accessorize differently and wear whatever I’m comfortable in. Like, when I’m with the baby I wear flats and when I’m not I wear heels. It just depends on what mood I’m in.

How has your style evolved?

I still like to dress up. I think every girl, whether you’re 13 or in your twenties, should always try new things. I mean, I’ve had my hair pink and brown and blonde and I think it’s all about trying new things; I’m really open to new looks. I love fashion so much that I definitely want to take it to the next level and I’m really excited about it all.

Nicole Opens Up About Kids and Clothing For a Good Cause

Paris Opens Up About Benji, Britney, and Being Used by Boys

Paris Hilton stopped by Trashy Lingerie to buy a Halloween costume on Friday and ran errands on Saturday and Sunday around LA. Looks like she stocked up, though we didn't get to see her dressed up around town this year. Paris will be heading to Letterman yet again tonight, but in a recent interview she spoke out about her love, friendships, and sex tape with Rick Solomon. Here's more:

On Rick and the sex tape: "I loved this guy for three years but he betrayed me. Rick’s a scumbag and I hate him. It was just the most horrible thing that’s ever happened to me. So humiliating and embarrassing. But at the end of the day, I didn’t do anything wrong."
On Britney Spears: "I do love her. I'm so happy for her because she's got her life back on track after a difficult couple of years. She deserves it because she's got such a good heart. She's never looked better, she really healthy at the moment. It's great and I'm really excited for her."
On Nicole Richie: "We've been best friends since we were two. Nicole and I are like sisters. We're both dating identical twin brothers so we see each other all the time."

On Benji: "Every other guy I've been out with has used me for money or sex - but in most cases they just want fame. It made it hard to trust people. I’m so relieved I don’t have to think about that now because I’ve found someone who loves me for me. Benji’s my best friend and I know he’d never hurt me. I’d love to start a family in the next year. And I want to get married before we have kids - I want three or four. My love life’s in the happiest place it’s ever been. Benji’s with me because he loves me and that’s it. I know I can trust him, and he knows he can trust me."

Seems like despite all of the rumors Paris and Benji are still going strong. We'll get to hear more from the heiress tonight in what's sure to be another entertaining conversation with Dave.

Nicole and Harlow Drop in For Coffee While Joel Walks Out

Nicole Richie and Harlow grabbed coffee and snacks together yesterday in LA. Harlow practiced her walking on the way back to the car, but she isn't the only one who has been getting physical lately. Nicole was shaking it during Jay-Z show on Sunday, and she twittered about how sore she was after working up a sweat. Joel Madden is still in Australia with Benji, but things went a little sour when he walked out of an an offensive radio interview in Melbourne because he wasn't in the mood to play games on air.

Are You Excited to See Nicole Richie's Shower Fight on Chuck?

Josh Schwartz took the TCA stage today and revealed a few exciting details on Nicole Richie's role in Chuck! In the fourth episode of the season, Sarah heads back to her high school reunion, with Chuck as her date, where she runs into former high school mean girl Nicole, whose husband is played by Ben Savage.

One thing leads to anther and the two women end up in a locker room fight scene! On the scene Zachary Levi told us,

"The shower’s full blast, bloodied, pipes breaking off… and you know it was crazy because Yvonne has been doing the whole fight scene thing for 13 plus episodes, but as far as I know it was Nicole’s first fight… well I don’t know, I didn’t watch The Simple Life, maybe they got crazy… but she was right there, step for step, they rehearsed their butts off, and had all the moves down."

Sounds like so much fun. So tell us, are you excited to see Nicole Richie on Chuck?

Meet Nicole and Joel's Baby Sparrow!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are officially introducing Sparrow! Nicole and Joel's six-week-old son, who looks so much like his big sister did on her first cover, is front and center in mom's arms for his first magazine shoot. The family of four posed for People's newest cover and inside the magazine gushed about their life as a family of four.

Nicole said: "I couldn't be happier. The only thing you want is for your kids to be healthy and happy, and they are. I'm right where I belong. I'm glad I had a girl before I had a boy. She just loves him so much."

From Joel: "She's very gentle with him."

Nicole and Lionel on Larry King, But Harlow Steals the Show

Nicole Richie headed into the Byron & Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills yesterday, but last night her coif was perfectly in place when her Larry King Live interview aired. She was there to support her father Lionel Richie who is out promoting his new album, but it ended up being quite the family affair when Harlow hit primetime all dressed up in mom's arms. On air Nicole talked about her struggle with addiction and still maintaining dreams of having a wedding someday - check out clips below. Right now both she and Joel are focused on their growing family, but there's nothing but happiness from Nicole who seems put-together, mature and so, so far from the Miss Richie we got to know years ago.
