Seven western US states and four Canadian provinces have agreed to cut greenhouse-gas emissions by 15 percent before 2020. Proud of the Western Climate Initiative, Republican California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger asserted:We’re sending a strong message to our federal governments that states and provinces are moving forward in the absence of federal action, and we’re setting the stage for national programs that are just as aggressive.
So how will Arizona, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec curb climate change?

Britney Spears started up her tour again last night in Ontario, with Jordin Sparks performing as the opening act. Meanwhile, back in LA, the woman who was previously arrested for peering into Brit's Calabasas home in April was found guilty of "misdemeanor peeking" yesterday. She was sentenced to three years probation plus community service, and has to stay away from Britney and her family in a continued restraining order.

According to Energy Minister Gerry Phillips, Ontario will lift its ban on clotheslines in time for residents to take advantage of warm summer breezes. Various municipal bylaws and contracts with home builders have outlawed the use of clotheslines until now. The lifting of the ban will mean that anyone living in a detached, semi-detached, or row house will be able to let their clothes flap in the breeze.

I've never heard much about the MuchMusic Awards, however, they celebrated their 20th anniversary last night in Ontario, Canada with tons of supportive singers and MTV reality show stars. Kim Kardashian rocked the red carpet with an intricate hocus pocus bob (meaning that her hair is just pinned up to appear shorter), Audrina Patridge looked blonder than ever, and Canadian singer-songwriter Lights sported a serious comb-over. All of the ladies donned smoky eyes and nude lips, however, who gets your vote for best looking hair of the night?

It's not everyday you see prices like this — especially for a BlackBerry — so I had to share the news in case you've been holding out for one for awhile. Verizon is now offering the pink and silver BlackBerry Pearl 8130 for $19.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Yes, you'll still need to be locked into a two-year contract, but for this fantastic price, I doubt you'll have many regrets.
