Orla Kiely For Target Will Be Restocked . . . Soon!

Have you had trouble finding your favorite Orla Kiely products at your local Target? Never fear, Target has heard your call for more Kiely and will be restocking many of the most popular products in mid-April.

You can expect to find more decorative home pieces including canisters, melamine bowls and plates, tumblers, and ceramic mugs. These items will be restocked beginning April 19. Additionally, select domestics items including placemats, napkins, table cloths, and kitchen towels will hit shelves between April 10 and April 26. Happy shopping!

Been swooning over Orla Kiely's diffusion line of home goods for Target? They're so bright, so Spring, so cheery, so cheap! Sadly, Orla Kiely's real line is not quite so accessible, but just as adorable.

This Tripp Laptop Bag costs a whopping $258, but man, I looove it. The car print and substantial canvas and leather trim are so sweet and retro.

Wouldn't it be great if Ms. Kiely decided to work with Target again for some cheapie laptop bags? I'd be first in line to pick one up, that's for sure!

It's getting to be that time of year when I've got traveling on my mind. The weather's nice, the days are getting longer . . . and I can't wait for my upcoming long weekend in LA!

Orla Kiely, the textile designer famous for her intensive use of print and color, has brought her signature style to the home and is offering customers 15 percent off all of her homewares until Nov. 16 at her online store and her London flagship store. She has a nice selection of blankets, pillows, lampshades, coffee mugs, and wallpapers which can add that much-needed splash of color to your living room or your kitchen cabinet. Her warehouse is located in the UK though, so be prepared to pay a potentially hefty shipping fee if you live in the US. Otherwise, anyone fancy a trip to London?

Cool Idea: Lighten Up Dark Furniture Without Paint

Recently, I've been really impressed by More Ways to Waste Time's inspiring dining room re-vamp. There was one seemingly small change to an heirloom piece of furniture that really caught my attention. Since the oak sideboard in the living room is a family heirloom, she couldn't paint it, but she did want to make the sideboard feel less imposing.

How did she lighten the sideboard? First, she covered the back of the shelves with Orla Kiely's Blossom wallpaper (which she taped to the sideboard, to avoid damage). Then with a collection of light-colored ceramics and light prints, she nicely updates and modernizes this antique piece.
