Z Gallerie's Soho Pavilion ($399.99, reduced from $599.99) is water- and fade-resistant, so you can host a chic party outdoors rain or shine. But, would you blame me for wanting to set up this chic tent indoors? I'm imagining a cross between Nick Olsen's tented workspace and interior designer Marjorie Skouras's oversize indoor topiary bedroom.

There's nothing like a curious agapanthus peering its head out of your white picket fence on a warm Summer day. A white picket fence may be uninspired, but it's still a classic, like an L.L. Bean bag or a pair of canvas sneaks.

Do you remember when Su Casa member Kimpossible wrote in asking for suggestions for a rug for her patio? Well, since then her outdoor space has seen some major changes. Not only did she choose a Mad Mats Recycled Rug for the space, but she also installed a pergola!

I've shown you several fire pits before, and you can find them at many home furnishing and hardware stores. For more of an investment, you can also have one built into your property. Regardless, they're great for entertaining on chilly Spring, Summer, and Fall evenings.

Whenever Summer comes around, I'm überexcited over all of the great outdoor items on the market, with grand visions of hosting colorful weekend barbecues. I have to stop myself, though, and remember that the season is fleeting. It's silly to spend excessively on décor that might be compromised by the weather and the playfulness of outdoor parties and that will only be used for a short time.

I wish this were the view from my front porch! It's actually the view from a farm stay at a cabin I visited in New Zealand a few years ago.
I also love the view from my home's deck, but I've lived in a few other places where the view was less than desirable.

When your garden is in full bloom, nature will do the work when it comes to outdoor décor. But the rest of the year, you can get by with a little help from your local flower shop. The tree in your backyard may not be dripping in blossoms, but thanks to a trick from interior stylist Paul Hopper, you can still transform it into a floral fantasyland.

I love finding ways to make my outdoor space seem as welcoming and comfortable as my living room. After all, it's hard to beat the views and ambiance of a great outdoor space. Whether you have a small patio or a couple acres to stretch out on, you'll want to consider your outdoor needs when registering for wedding gifts.

If your dog's trudging through snow or scampering on icy sidewalks treated with salt, it's important to keep their paw pads protected. Granted this can look a bit silly to nondog owners, but it's important since the lime-rock or calcium chloride melts are poisonous to pets. Shoes prevent the risk of a pup cutting or licking his feet, but I can tell you from experience, it's hard to find ones that stay on!
