I'm smitten with gogosushi's cozy outfit. For maximum warmth, the cable knit cutie layered her tweed shorts and chic DIY Cavour print tee with tights and a nubby sweater. Notice how she's on to the over the knee boots trend. I love it all, however, the prize goes to her buttery soft vintage Yves Saint Laurent satchel bag - swoon.

I'm sorry, but Becki is a fox. I sure wouldn't mind seeing her around more often. Especially if she's taking the plunge and wearing Fall's hottest boot: the over the knee. And she wears them exactly right. Stretchy black leggings, a sharp blazer by The Row, and a taupe tank, are subtle and sharp. A red bag reminds she's bold, not blah. Mixed-metal chain bracelets add the perfect amount of sparkle. Foxy lady.

My new favorite kind of boot is the over-the-knee. I look forward to chilly weather so that I can bust them out and spice my legs up with them. But here's the thing: the right pair can make you look chic, the wrong, not so. You'll know when looking at it which category it falls in. I already own a black leather flat one, but would love to add a luxurious suede heeled style to my collection. During my hunt, I came across dozens of unique boots that I would make mine, wallet permitting. And these Stella McCartney Thigh-High Faux Leather Boots ($1,385), which the designer herself owns, are the over-the-knee Holy Grail. More than boots, they're like buying a pair of hot leather legs!

Angie Harmon Straps Into Rodarte Boots: Love It or Hate It?

Hot mommy Angie Harmon is usually so pretty on the red carpet, so to see her so severe is, well, different. At the 2009 Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards last night, the actress wore a loose-fitting maroon dress, but what comes next is questionable. She completed her look with Rodarte's thigh-high gray boots from Fall '09. The boots are super futuristic, but I'm not sold on them with that dress. What do you think?

Trend Alert: Over-the-Knee Boots

I've never been a huge fan of over-the-knee boots, but seeing Jenna Dewan in her maroon pair convinced me otherwise. See, I used to think thigh-highs were cheesy - cue Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman - but the key to getting this look right is styling it with not so '80s clothes. I suggest girlie floral frocks, like Jenna's, for an upscale Woodstock vibe, or paired with a lean wool mini, tights, and trench for a ultra-modern Fall look.

Love it or Hate it? Stella McCartney at Forces For Nature Benefit

Last night Stella McCartney was awarded at the National Resources Defence Council of America benefit for her continual refusal to use animal products in her clothing range. The designer was supported at the event by her father and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell. Last week Stella explained the global impact of using leather and fur explaining, "I believe very much in the connection between fur and leather and the environment. There's a huge connection. Now, I think more and more people will start to take notice of that - the use of water for tanneries, the chemicals that are used - there's a huge impact environmentally."

She attended the benefit last night in her own designs including a pair of laser cut thigh high boots which appeared as part of her Autumn '09 line. What do you think of her ensemble?

Who Wore It Better? Over the Knee Boots

Stella McCartney is clearly a big fan of Christmas as she switched on the lights at her Bruton Street store last night with a little help from celebrity friends (and family). Peter Kay performed alongside her father who clearly has a lot of love for the comedian whilst Kate Moss, Jamie Hince, Laura Bailey and Lulu watched on. Kate and Stella showed their friendship dedication by wearing the same style boots but whilst Kate opted for suede, Stella went for (presumably) faux leather. Kate jazzed hers up with a metallic top as Stella gave us a lesson in keeping warm but staying chic. Who do you think wore the over the knee boots better?

Look for Less: Fendi Over the Knee Boots

Over the weekend both Daisy Lowe and Alice Dellal wore Fendi over-the-knee boots to a party in Paris and yesterday I asked you who wore them better. Whilst you were mainly left divided it confirmed the footwear's status as the boot of the season despite the slightly-hefty £730 price tag.

Whilst perusing the Miss Selfridge website yesterday I came across this rather lovely pair of suede over the knee boots (£85).

Whilst not being exactly like the Fendi version, the stitching detail and shape is very similar and the heel height is sensible enough to avoid looking OTT. Team with skinny jeans and a paisley print top for a dressed-down style or if you're feeling brave opt for a high waisted mini à la Alice Dellal.
