Paris Haute Couture was a whirlwind of wild clothes, beautiful styling, and unexpected combinations, but of everything that came down the runway, only a few looks are destined to stick in the minds of the style-makers who decide what makeup shades and hairstyles will be on the street a few months from now. The looks here made the cut, either because they're just too gorgeous to pass up or too wild to forget. Ready to get a little crazy/beautiful?

In Blighty over the past year the Queen has honoured some of the biggest names in British fashion (including Christopher Bailey, Anya Hindmarch, Luella Bartley and Stephen Jones), and now the French are following our lead. It has just been revealed that both Marc Jacobs and Nathalie Rykiel are set to be decorated with the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres tomorrow. The French equivalent of a knighthood is to be presented by Culture Minister Frédéric Mitterrand at a ceremony in Paris.

Paris is an incredible city. It's played muse to most of the great perfumers (not to mention designers, writers, and actors) of the last two centuries, which I think deserves some recognition. In honor of this most magical place, I've put together some of the most fabulous fragrances inspired by the city.

There have been rumours this month that one of the cities biggest style icons is packing her bags and heading across the channel to Paris. Kate Moss had reportedly bought a 22.5 million euro apartment in the city in the Trocadero area. In recent years we have lost both Agyness Deyn and Alexa Chung to New York, so I must admit that I was a bit sad to hear of these plans!

The new December issue of Lonny is hot off the presses, and I'm already inspired. I'm swooning over this Paris apartment of textile designer Lisa Fine, which is heavy on Indian fabrics and other furnishings. The space feels totally fresh, very quaint, and still très Parisien despite its obvious Central Asian influences.

Sometimes it's hard to accept change — especially for the French. In a country and city that thrives on its traditions the Louvre's decision to clutter up the classic Parisian palace-turned-museum with a giant pyramid was met with much skepticism and contempt. Twenty years ago, critics called the out of place architectural addition a sacrilegious "gigantic gadget."
