American Music Awards hit
the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist.

Obviously if you've listened to the radio in the last 6 months all you've heard is the Black Eyed Peas. It was funny to see just how bad they are live. Fergie can't sing. At all. I'm guessing her stripper/lingerie/hooker outfit was supposed to distract from her lack of talent. It kind of worked but at the same time I could only think how cultural decay continues unabated.
1Couple of things to point out:
Kate Hudson- gross, that dress was coming open while she leaned down and her flat chest made me want to puke. Nothing wrong with flat chests,,, I just dont want to see ALL of them on tv.
Gaga- slayed it. amazing
Daughtry,Urban,Underwood,Lopez,green day, Shakira.......Like watching paint dry.
2That was the worst AMA EVER
3JLO was horrible I think she needs to just stop and she sounded terrible. I actually switched the channel after a few minutes.
Why did Alicia Keys steal Ciara's moves and idea from Promise. I dont know but it was way out there this year..Adam Lambert was just way over the top and not in a good way.
JayZ Enimem and Green Day were good. Lady Gaga always gives a good show shes a little weird but sings pretty good.
Could have done with out both JLo and Adam Lamberts performance.
Agree Kate Hudson needed a different dress, it made her look odd and definitely not flattering.
Overall this year wasn't that impressive. JayZ and Alicia best performance of the night for me.

5One of the worst awards shows I've ever seen. And I've seen at least 90.
6There were a lot of WTF moments last night. Overall my favorite performances were Jay/Alicia, Gaga, Carrie Underwood, Eminem and Whitney just because it was very emotional. The rest were not memorable besides J.Lo busting her ass and Shakira's random step show routine.
7I like Empire State of Mind by Jay-z and Alicia Keys also Janet Jackson performance I think she did a good job. I didn't like the rest Whitney can't sing like she used to but I applaud her for turning her life around. They showed her daughter and she looked so proud of her mother and that's what matters. I didn't like Lady Ga Ga songs but the fire burning piano was pretty cool. Jennifer Lopez did not like at all and the rest were forgettable.
8I wasn't able to watch the AMA's, although based on everyone's reviews I didn't miss much, but can someone please tell me what the heck Rihanna is wearing in those pictures. It looks like an updated version of Milla Jovavich's Fifth Element costume.
9I didnt watch the show, but I´ve seen the BEP live and Fergie has an amazing voice!! and WTF with Rihana outfits she is a pretty girl she doesnt need to try so hard!!
10Jabet Jackson is trying too hard and her crotch area looks horrible in that outfit...she's trying to further herslef by her dead brother's dance moves and it's just plain tacky..
Alicia Keys and Fergie had the BEST sounding voices of the night..Gaga was disappointing as well as Adam L.
