Lauren, Courteney, Reese and Fergie Celebrate Champions

Lauren Conrad, Courteney Cox, Reese Witherspoon and Fergie attened Avon's Champions Who Change Women's Lives celebration at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Reese hosted and Fergie performed at the benefit, which honours those who have fought breast cancer and domestic violence, while Patrick and Jillian Dempsey, Courteney and a darker haired Lauren were on presenting duties. Lauren has revealed she is dressing as a clown for Halloween, and Courteney has revealed her former Friends costar Lisa Kudrow will appear on Cougar Town as a dermatologist. It's great to see stars making time for such good causes.

Hollywood Comes Out to Get Lucky in LA

Lauren Conrad hit the red carpet alongside a bevy of beautiful ladies for the Lucky Magazine and Madewell Fall Denim Tour at the Bar Marmont last night in LA. Hollywood starlets from all over TV and film came out to celebrate the new line of denim, although for most of the atendees, short skirts were the dress code for the evening. Kristen Bell looked like the picture of health in her layered look, while Mandy Moore showed of yet another new hair transformation. Rachel Bilson traded in her casual wellies for worn-in black boots, striking a pose after walking the red carpet. Katie Cassidy joined the rest of the ladies as another new episode of Melrose Place aired - though it's still not as scandalous as 90210.

How-To: Lauren Conrad's Twisty Braids

Just when you think you've seen nearly every type of braid imaginable, leave it to Lauren Conrad to add her own twist. LC's time on The Hills may be over but that's not stopping the young star from pursuing other endeavors.

At last night's book signing for LA Candy and appearance on The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien, Lauren busted out the braids again. But this time, she chose dual French braids that looped together in the back, forming a loose, chic bun. Recently I got the scoop behind her iconic braids, and now, here are some tips on re-creating last night's updo version.

Get the how-to when you read more.

For a shiny effect with slight hold, apply a glossing gel to damp hair and blow-dry. Try Nivea Diamond Gloss Styling Gel ($12).
Part the hair down the middle. Starting from one side of the part, loosely French braid the hair all the way down, stopping the braiding at to the nape. Secure with an elastic band. Repeat on the other side. Note how Lauren's stylist only braided hair along the sides, leaving hair from the crown down to the neck out of the mix.
Leaving the two braids out, gather the hair from the crown down to the neck into a ponytail. Secure with an elastic band and twist hair around it, securing with bobby pins into the base of the pony.
Finish up by twisting and wrapping the two ends around the "bun" you created in the third step, using bobby pins to secure. Add a spritz of hair spray (such as David Babaii for WildAid Light Styling Spray, $12.50) for a little hold.

Adele and Leona Join American Divas in NYC For VH1

The first ladies of the music industry came together for VH1 Divas at Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York yesterday. Leona Lewis and Adele flew the flag for us Brits, and were joined by Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad: are you more excited for the return of The Hills or The City? Sheryl Crow and Miley Cyrus also posed in the arrivals hall, before performing together on stage. Also walking the red carpet were Jordin Sparks, Martina McBride, India Irie, Liza Minnelli, Kathy Griffin, Toni Braxton and one of the few men, Corbin Bleu.

The show itself was full of duets, including Cindy Lauper and Leona Lewis, Jennifer Hudson and Stevie Wonder, and Kelly Clarkson and Melissa Etheridge. Host for the night Paula Abdul had fun dressing up as her replacement on American Idol Ellen DeGeneres, but added: "All kidding aside, nothing but love Ellen and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig". Love It or Hate It? Lauren Conrad's Patriotic Nail Polish

Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth were spotted leaving Bar Deluxe in Los Angeles over the weekend. Lauren, looked fashionable in a red sequin mini and a low slung black vest, but what really caught my eye was her alternating red and blue nail polish. From what I can see, her thumb also appears to have white dots on it, (or are those stars), just like the American flag. As Saturday was the Fourth of July (America's Independence Day), Lauren is showing her patriotism via beauty products - I love it! What do you think of LC's patriotic polish?

LC Explains the Story Behind Her Iconic Braid

Lauren Conrad is known for a lot of things: her stint on The Hills, her clothing line, and her contract with Mark cosmetics. And when it comes to her look, it's hard to picture her without a sweet side braid.

PopSugar caught up with LC and Lo this past weekend, and among other things - including a little Pattinson talk, swoon - they chatted about Lauren's hairstyle. "I've gone a little overkill with the braid," she admitted. "I cut my own bangs, so I have to braid it back a lot. I have weird Girl, Interrupted bangs going on." Not sure if they're weird, per se, but they're certainly trend-setting - and just another trick to add to the list of ways to grow out your bangs.

Funny Girl Tracey Ullman to Host CFDA Fashion Awards

When funny girl Tracey Ullman received this message from Diane von Furstenberg, "Hello, it's D.V.F. You have no excuse this year, Tracey. Call me back," she knew she would be hosting the CFDA Awards in June. You may not know this, but Ullman is a huge fashion lover; combine that with her comedy and it's no wonder von Furstenberg chose her. As for entertaining the CFDA crowd, Ullman said she's tempted to prod designers on how they feel about invented celebrities - touché. "You can imagine," said Ullman, "Oscar de la Renta being shown a picture of Lauren Conrad, and saying, 'Oh, if only we can get her to hold our purse!'"
