Which Lipstick Looks Best on Sophie Ellis-Bextor?

Last night at the Nowhere Boy London Film Premiere, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor posed on the red carpet wearing tomato red lipstick. Over the past few months we've also seen her in orangey-coral and rosey-pink shades too. All of these colours certainly stand out against her creamy, milky pale skin, but if you had to pick one that you liked best, which would it be?

Last night in New York City, Maxim celebrated their December Issue with a party honouring cover girl Ashley Greene. As the cast of New Moon has been everywhere for the past few weeks, Ashley's gotten the chance to make some major TV, shopping mall and red carpet appearances wearing different shades of pink lipstick. Trend Alert: Thistle-Coloured Lipstick

Thistle is a pinky-purple hue that packs a lot of punch even though it's considered a pastel. It was always a favourite crayon colour of mine until it was retired in 2000, but just because Crayola dissed it doesn't mean that it's unpopular in the makeup world. In fact, celebrities like Chloe Sevigny, Lil Kim and Whitney Port have all painted their pouts thistle recently, proving that it can be worn all year round. What are your thoughts on this lipstick look?

On Saturday night, Heidi Pratt's older sister Holly Montag celebrated her birthday at a party in Los Angeles wearing bright pink lipstick. Last month we saw her at another Hollywood party with glossy, brownish-nude coloured lip gloss, and back in June, she really rocked the red carpet wearing showing off her megawatt smile in shiny red lipstick at a 2009 BET Awards party. Last night at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, the most common makeup theme from the ladies on the red carpet was black, heavily lined eyes paired with pink lipstick. The eye style varied from dark and smoky on Kristin Cavallari to clean and winged on Madonna. Lips also came in a wide spectrum of shades ranging from candy floss pink on Solange Knowles to pinky-coral on Katy Perry. Last night at the Gossip Girl inspired clothing collection launch for Anna Sui in New York City, Taylor Momsen walked the red carpet with her ultra-long hair extensions and brick red lipstick. I like a bright lip on Little J, but I feel like the pink shade on the far right is a bit more flirty and age appropriate for the sweet sixteen year old. I also think the pale gloss works, but it doesn't make her eyes pop quite like the other colours. What's your favourite lip pick on Taylor?

Last night at the Los Angeles premiere of Funny People, Rashida Jones arrived wearing a badass chain necklace, her hair up and bold red lipstick. Unlike her former role on the TV show The Office where she typically didn't wear any lipstick at all, in real life, Rashida is often seen wearing bright colours. Just last week at the ESPY Awards she donned a white dress with contrasting iridescent magenta lips, and back in April, she wore a ruddy nudey-gloss to a Hollywood party. At yesterday's T4 On The Beach concert in Weston-Super-Mare, performers gathered despite grey skies, wearing stylish outfits and funky hairstyles. Next to all of green and blue eye shadow present, perhaps the most popular lipstick shade I saw on Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Tulisa and Alesha Dixon was mod (retro) pink lipstick. It's fun to see this colour make a comeback and what better a venue than at a rockin' concert. Recently, I wore Creme de la Femme by MAC for a night out on the town and loved it.
