It sounds like Kristen Bell may be growing tired being typecast as an adorably bubbly blonde — she's just signed on to star opposite Christina Aguilera in the musical drama Burlesque.
Bell will star as one of the club's headliners, a "loose cannon" who doesn't exactly welcome Christina Aguilera's character with open arms. Bell did the bad girl thing during her stint on Heroes, but for some reason I just can't see her as a risque pole dancer.

From the stripper pole to the Olympic podium? Proponents of "pole fitness" want more respect, and perhaps a gold medal would help. In an interview with Marie Claire, dance instructor Collette Kakuk, cofounder of the Pole Fitness Association, makes a case for pole dancing as an Olympic sport.

How does one introduce the Shaking Hip USB? The pictures — particularly the gyrating motion image — pretty much speak for themselves.
It's reminiscent of the USB Pole Dancer, an Internet hit from days past.

Wondering how Marisa Tomei shaped up to play an exotic pole dancer in The Wrestler? According to Us Weekly, her workout was as innocent as a 1950s backyard pastime — she used a weighted Hoopnotica hula hoop ($50). Using an adult-size, slightly weighted hoop makes regular hooping and doing tricks much easier, which you can learn from the Hoopdance or Hoopnotica ($20) DVDs.

Who manufactures and installs these lame stripper poles? There's now a whole new genre of video that shows hard-workin' pole dancers practicing their craft at home, only to have the poles collapse by the end of their routines. Since this is happening so much, just to spice things up, they could incorporate a comedy routine into their shows at the strip joints where they work.

I have so many questions. Where are these people? It'd be weird enough if there were a club outfitted with poles for every dancer on the dance floor, but this appears to be a reception of some kind.

Madonna, no stranger to sweating, has brought her high-fitness level to the stage of her tour Sticky and Sweet.
I have not seen the show myself, but it's pretty clear from the pictures that all her hard work at her gym is paying off. Madonna has a bit of pole dancing, jump roping, deep squats, and more during the show, all while she's singing, too — talk about the ultimate talk test.

I've likened model Coco Rocha to a turtle, watched her get illustrated, and listened when she spoke up at the CFDA model health discussion. It was only a matter of time until I got to chat with her about the ongoings of her busy career as one of today's It models.
For those who aren't familiar with Coco, she was born in Toronto, Canada on September 10, 1988.
