Although it takes an hour for a potato to bake, I still consider baked potatoes a quick and simple meal. Why? Because they require virtually no work.

If you are hosting a tailgate anytime soon you should think about including reader jennifer76's recipe for red skinned potato salad on the menu. Bacon, grated celery and onion are lightly tossed together with a simple seasoned mayonnaise. This recipe is on my must make list!

Sometimes, when I see a recipe that sounds amazing, I print it out immediately only to have it sit there for weeks. Turns out I'm not the only one. TeamSugar member hvnly34 printed out a recipe for WhiplashGirlchild's Cheesy Triple-Onion Twice-Baked Potatoes, but took a month to make them.

Since many of you are celebrating Hanukkah this week, I wanted to share a twist on my favorite latke recipe. I know oil is a huge part of the tradition, but drenching potatoes in a ton of oil isn't exactly the healthiest thing for you, so check out this recipe. It doesn't involve any deep-frying, and mixes grated carrots with sweet potatoes.

Last night, you went the healthful route with sesame chicken, vegetables, and soba noodles; tonight, jazz things up with a meal that's the ultimate in comfort food. Take leftover boneless, skinless chicken breasts and turn them into something craveworthy when you drizzle them with a gouda cheese pan gravy and serve them alongside creamy smashed potatoes that are studded with broccoli florets. Get this crowd-pleasing recipe — that's ready in only half an hour — when you read more

It is Labor Day weekend, and that means barbecues to celebrate the end of Summer. Potato salad is a barbecue staple, but this dish doesn't need to be laden with high-fat mayo.
This potato salad features a red wine vinegar and mustard vinaigrette, with salty capers and cornichons (the French version of gherkins) for added flavor.

Cold Winter weather always makes me crave warm and creamy soups. Potato Leek is one of my favorites, but whenever I order it out, I can tell it's made with so much cream that my arteries cringe. There's really no need to use cream or any dairy products whatsoever when making this kind of soup since the potatoes are creamy enough.

Soup is one of my favorite meals to enjoy year-round, so when I caught this shot of homemade bacon and potato soup, I started salivating. All Mansionmogul did was free-form this recipe, and I dreamt of a steaming hot bowl of this velvety, chunky soup sitting in front of me, the grated cheese topping already in a blissful state of melted gooeyness.
Make this soup — perfect for a cold Winter night — when you read more

I don't know what I'm more impressed with here. TeamSugar member haute77's delicious execution of Turkey Burgers With Sweet Potato Wedges or her husband's beautifully shot photographs of the meal. Either way it makes for a droolicious treat.

In the last few weeks, San Francisco's been blessed with such warm weather that I've been thinking it's time to pack up the cold-weather clothes in favor of some sunnier ensembles. In addition, I'll be putting away my slow cooker until next Winter, forgoing Winter stews for fresh preparations instead.
What could be more seasonal than a Spring chicken, roasted with new potatoes and bright-flavored asparagus and lemon, and served with a roasted pan juice?
