It seems that some women can get pregnant by merely looking at their partner, while for others it takes much more time and effort and it's not always clear as to why. The one thing for sure is that when a woman decides she wants to become pregnant, it's on her mind 24/7. They may not work for everyone, but here are a few things a hopeful mama-to-be can do to increase her chances of adding a baby into her future sooner.

When Precious first caused rumblings at Sundance, I thought, "There is no way I'm seeing this film." There are certain things that I find uncomfortable to watch — pregnant teens, abuse, Mariah Carey. But I'm so glad I did.

This week's CW drama block may have its share of cool guest stars like N.E.R.D. and Samantha Ronson, but, on the whole, it's a total mess. On the one hand, you've got the unstable girls of 90210 having emotional breakdowns at the drop of a hat; on the other, the Melrose Place residents are busy sneaking around to cover up their crimes.

The 9 Hottest Pregnant Women, Ever is a round up of the expected. From Brooke Burke to Halle Berry, and Christina Aguilera to Angelina Jolie — it's the women "with child" who have toned baby bumps and nary a swollen ankle between them.

People say the most ridiculous things to pregnant women. While expecting my daughter and son, my jaw constantly dropped at the rude, crude and absent-minded things people said to me...with a straight face. BabySugar encountered the same nonsense while she was with child.

Pregnant and high, 37-year-old Sandria Doremus entered a treatment facility in Greenville, SC, with the hopes that she could get off drugs and properly care for her baby. Her other motivation? She wanted to avoid being incarcerated after she gave birth.

Almost every woman I know has been on the pill at some point in her life, and many of us started when we were under 20 years old. It has many health benefits, such as preventing unwanted pregnancies, decreasing the risk of ovarian cancer, and alleviating PMS symptoms. The one big negative about the pill is that statistics show being on it for longer than 10 years puts you at a higher risk for breast cancer.

It may no longer be headline news, but the swine flu pandemic still has people talking. This week the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is meeting to discuss the development and distribution of a vaccine that is set to be ready by Fall. Among the groups who may get top priority for the vaccine are pregnant women.
