Group Therapy: How Do I Get Over My Fear of Being Single?

I am a young professional who just moved across the country to start a new job. I have never lived more than an hour away from home, and I moved to a city where I don't know a lot of people. My college boyfriend and I broke up right before I moved, and it was extremely difficult to lose my best friend and boyfriend all while moving somewhere new.

I know that we broke up for the right reasons, and he was not the person for me, but I just have this huge fear of being alone forever. I feel like this fear is causing me not to enjoy this move and new chapter of my life as much as I should. We have been broken up for over six months so it's not like it just happened. I also feel like I am settling for people and guys, and putting myself in situations that I never would before I started college.

I used to have so much drive and so many goals, but now I just feel lost. Being a broke, single girl in a big city away from my family and friends that I have known forever, I feel like I have lost my direction in life. I really like my new job, but there are so many other things that I would like to do, like travel and go to grad school, but I just can't afford it. I want to be that determined girl who would never settle that I was four years ago, and I don't know how to get that back. Any advice?

It's Admin Professionals Day - Have You Been Recognized?

A Creepy Yet Insanely Catchy Homage to Christian Bale

Just when you thought we were finished with the Christian Bale freakout comes this genius music video for The Mae Shi's "R U Professional." The catchy dance number pays homage to the "swing kid with a violent streak" with excerpts from Bale's famous onset explosion and lyrics like "newsies will get you tonight!" The video features clips from his movies - including Bale eating a live snake and running naked with a chain saw - that kinda help you understand how the dude got so extreme.

Forbes Ranks Best Cities For Young Professionals

The term "young professional" never really sat right with me, and it still doesn't, but I'm not sure what should be used in its place. Any ideas? Forbes has released its list of the best cities for young professionals (hey, they said it, not me), which isn't to be mistaken with the best cities for new grads.

Their rankings of the 40 biggest cities in the US adjusts each category for population, and Forbes clarifies the purpose of the list is "to gauge which cities are attracting the next generation of top business talent." Drumroll . . . discover the top ten when you read more.

Reader Review: Cover Girl Professional All In One Mascara

I've had good luck with the Cover Girl Last Blast mascara, so I was excited to read NadiaPotter's review of Cover Girl Professional All In One Mascara in the group Beauty Product Junkies. The mascara claims to magnify your lashes while still looking natural, and to "find lashes you didn't know you had." I'll turn it over to NadiaPotter for the scoop:

I bought Cover Girl Professional All In One mascara, the mascara that is supposed to give you everything... Well, it doesn't, of course. It promises so much, but it doesn't do the full job.

It didn't give me volume, and I did have a little clumpiness. It does give a "natural effect," like you don't have on a mascara that "magnifies" your lashes at all. If you already have big and curly lashes, maybe it would look good on you. But I don't, so, I won't use this one.

Fantastic Mr. Fox: Lives Up to Its Title

For the past five years, Wes Anderson's wide fan base has been waiting for his first fully animated film. Would his adaption of Roald Dahl's children's book, Fantastic Mr. Fox appease the same crowd that holds Bottle Rocket and The Royal Tenenbaums near and dear to their hearts? The answer is an emphatic yes, and the best news is that you don't even have to enjoy Anderson's other work to fall in love with this film.

The story follows the wily Mr. Fox, a professional robber turned family man (er, fox) who just isn't satisfied with his quiet life working as a newspaper columnist. Even a move to prime real estate isn't enough to satiate his appetite for a little trouble making, and Mr. Fox (or "Foxy" as his friends call him) decides to take on the biggest adventure of his life. That's just the tip of the iceberg though, so read more.

Mr. Fox isn't your average wild animal; in fact he's just the opposite. He lives a civilized life with his wife Felicity (Meryl Streep) and 12-year-old son, Ash, making an honest living as a newspaper columnist. Like a kid who can't sit still, Mr. Fox has trouble curbing his desires to rebel and go back to his life stealing squab and running into trouble. Against his wife's wishes, Mr. Fox convinces his dim-witted but trusty sidekick Kylie (Wally Wolodarski) to take on one last hurrah. The crime? Ripping off the three biggest (and meanest) farmers around - Boggis, Bunce and Bean. When Mr. Fox starts an all-out war, he is forced to join forces with his family, friends, and neighbors - and that's where the fun begins.

The film's brilliance lies in the fact that Fantastic Mr. Fox is a movie for grown-ups disguised as a kiddie flick. Even with Anderson's name stamped all over it, there's no denying the furry animals dressed as humans. The animation makes the plot play out like a story book come to life; we're taken deep into the fox hole and beyond in a world that looks like a dollhouse made for fuzzy creatures. Kids will love the adventure and the colors, but the witty dialogue and quirky characters are made for the grown-ups.

The movie features a crew of lovable characters who deliver hilarious one-liners when they aren't breaking into impromptu dances. There's nothing new about a movie featuring animals acting like humans, but the actors make the movie the gem that it is. Jason Schwartzman playing a crabby 12-year-old but using his regular deep voice is genius. Clooney and Bill Murray (as badger, Mr. Fox's lawyer) bantering back and forth but replacing swears with the word "cuss" never gets old (as in "This place is a cluster cuss" and "What the cuss is wrong with you?").

Rare is the animated film with this much wit, cleverness, and chemistry between characters, but Fantastic Mr. Fox hits it right on the head. Score one more for Mr. Anderson.
