Lucky Magazine + HSN = Designer Capsule Collection

Lucky magazine and HSN have become fast friends. The two teamed up to create an exclusive capsule collection with seven designers - Shoshanna, Rebecca Taylor, Kooba, Rebecca Minkoff, Tracy Reese, Gerard Yosca, and Helen Ficalora. How are these pieces different from the ones the designers create for their namesake lines? They have the same aesthetic but are way more affordable. "It is so exciting to be partnering with HSN and have these unique, fabulously priced items reach a wider audience and bring Lucky Shops to life in an entirely new way," Lucky's editor in chief Kim France said. The designer capsule collection will be revealed on HSN on Oct. 16 and 17; some pieces are now available on Lucky Shops at HSN.

While Rebecca Minkoff was expanding her fashion empire, showing her capsule Spring RTW collection and newest trendy accessories at New York Fashion Week, Lauren Conrad and Michelle Tractenberg dropped by in the same black and white polka-dot blouse - I'm guessing it's from the designer's aforementioned collection. Lauren upped the style ante in cropped leather pants, while Michelle shined via peep-toe patent pumps. Lauren grabbed the turquoise RM clutch, Michelle is a red RM bag/matching red lips kinda gal. Who worked this classic blouse better?

Rebecca Minkoff Expands Her Empire

There's more reason to love cutie Rebecca Minkoff now that she's adding a capsule clothing collection and accessories line to her repertoire. Rebecca also updated her website to include Minkette.com, a place where she shares a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her inspiration, exclusive video footage, insider tips on some of her favorite spots, and invites to cool parties around town. Rebecca's small accessories line, available this holiday, will include belts and bracelets. Her capsule collection will debut in Fall '10. Future brides can look forward to an affordable (ranging between $195-215) customized bridal bag collection called I Do in September. OK, I don't know how Luna Boston got its hands on this exclusive Rebecca Minkoff 3-Zip Morning After Clutch, ($295) but I think I need it. Let me break it down for you. The size fits everything I need for a night out and the color, dubbed Purple Haze, is the same color as my Mini Cooper. Coincidence? And the three zip detail and chain handle? Swoon. The price isn't crazy ridiculous so I guess there's really nothing stopping me. Done and done. Oh, it also comes in teal and black . . .
