Like us, our homes are living, breathing creatures that need a little TLC every now and then. Just as we might stub our toes or nick ourselves shaving, our homes suffer some occasional battle wounds. But recovery calls for little more than a band-aid of sorts.

By142 is a unisex luxury skincare line that promotes healing. It was created by a former beauty buyer who felt that, though there were lots of anti-aging and complexion-correcting products on the market, there were no products available to help reduce scars and heal damaged facial tissue.

I am fascinated by the extremes athletes in training put themselves through, especially when it comes to their diets. Swimmer Michael Phelps eats about 12,000 calories a day when training, and extreme marathoner Dean Karnazes eats 7,000 calories a day when running. It sounds a little crazy, but given how hard their bodies are working, it makes sense that they'd need more fuel than the rest of us.

Over the past few years, Kate Mara has amassed a rather impressive resume, and over the weekend, while premiering her latest flick, HappyThankYourMorePlease at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, she wore a rather impressive fresh-faced makeup look to boot.
While BuzzSugar is excited about the film, I'm excited about Kate's flattering, warm-tone palette, which complements her copper locks beautifully but would look great with just about any hair color and skin tone. Find out how to re-create the look at home, straight from makeup artist Jeffrey Paul, when you keep reading.

In the New York Times article "Two Hands, Two Homes", writer and handyman Anthony DePalma reflects on how his family's older homes, which were in need of constant repairs, made him into a bona fide handyman. He writes, "Although I started out as a real innocent, dumb as a nail about home repairs, I might now be considered a jack of all trades, times two."
I suspect that this is how many of us become handy.

One of the big house-related tasks you should accomplish this Spring is assessing the state of your roof. In good weather, you — or a reliable, steady-footed helper — should check the roof for missing or damaged roofing tiles or shingles. If you're not confident doing so, hire a contractor or repairer to check out the possible damage.
