If I could buy everything at Revolve Clothing, I probably would. Too bad the steep prices stop me. The good news is that its sale section has plenty of items for cheaper than usual. Right now you'll find dresses, tops, pants, and a few purses and shoes.

I have been eyeing this Nanette Lepore Ain't She Sweet Top ($160, originally $320) for some time now. It will give me a chance to participate in the sheer trend without revealing too much.

More and more, I'm starting to realize that Lindsay was on to something. I can't deny leggings are still going strong. This time around, the solid colors we've been accustomed to have been replaced with flashier models. Take for instance these Costume Dept. Show Girl Leggings ($37). The funky gold swirls definitely scream show-stopper. What do you scream?

Gossip Girl's main wardrobe stylist, Eric Daman, has teamed up with Revolve Clothing to inject some preppy-chicness into its Fall '08 collection. Translation: you can get Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf's look straight from an authentic source. If you like Daman's recommended look, you can shop it immediately. He also provides tidbits about why he chose the particular pieces, and reveals his preferred Fall trends and favorite character on the show (hint: it's not a girl). Check it out.

This Theory Silvie Short Sleeve Blouse ($126, originally $180) is one of the beauties on sale. It stood out to me because although it looks like a regular blouse, the crossover pleat detail on the sleeves gives it a unique yet subtle touch.

Designer Spotlight: Rory Beca

Twenty-five year old Rory Edelman, founder and designer of Rory Beca, is quite a lucky gal. She began her career in 2003 by making hand knit scarves; soon after, they landed on major TV shows Friends and Crossing Jordan thanks to designer and stylish Deb McGuire, whom she was working with at the time. As if that's not impressive enough, New York's Henri Bendel gave Rory two exclusive trunk shows and they sold out immediately.

Luck may play a part in her fashion fate, but Rory is all about hard work. In 2006, she expanded her line to include one-of-a-kind dresses for red carpet events and as well as a Summer 2006 women's line. She currently has a Fall/Winter 2007 collection ($193-$435), as well as a Resort 2008.
