Ciara's Stylist Tells You How to Get Her Chic New Hairstyle

Ciara arrived at the TXT L8TER event in Hollywood the other night looking like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn. I've always been in awe of her long, super-shiny hair, but I'm really coveting this new cut, which is actually - scoop! - a perfectly shaped hair piece (no worries, you can do this with your own hair, too).

To find out how it's done, I talked with Warren-Tricomi Los Angeles salon stylist Kiyah Wright, the Emmy-winning makeover guru who just transformed Ciara. (She's also been responsible for the amazing hair of Tyra Banks, Gabrielle Union, Iman, Mary J. Blige, and more.) She had some great tips and a ton of excellent advice. Rihanna and her ever-changing hair met up with Jay-Z last night to party at Vendome club in London. She hung out in the VIP area wearing her cardigan and shorts, dropping thousands of dollars on the bar tab she shared with Jay-Z. Rih has also been spotted hanging out with Pharrell Williams during her trip overseas, so she has plenty of friends to keep her occupied as Chris Brown makes headlines again with his public apology.

Rihanna and Chris Steam Up the Stage in Chicago

After performing together at the Jingle Ball on Friday, Rihanna and Chris Brown took the stage again last night in Chicago. Rihanna showed off her long legs in leather pants and your favorite short hair of the year - it's no wonder Chris couldn't resist getting close to his girl. Rihanna is rumored to be headlining the RIAA's inaugural charity ball and if so, maybe she'll bring Obama-fan Chris along to celebrate.

Rihanna and Chris Wear Winter White in Paris

Rihanna and Chris Brown did a little of what they do best - luxury shopping at LV and Gucci - in Paris yesterday. The romantic city is perfect for the stylish couple in their various matching black, white and gray pieces. Rihanna is in town to perform on Star Academy and if the viewers are lucky they'll get a steamy cameo by Chris on stage as a bonus. Rih has your favorite short haircut of the year and she recently talked about what it does for her saying, "My hair definitely inspired different things like how I dress, the swagger. I became more confident and more comfortable with myself. . . I like to have an edge to it, no matter what it is that I'm doing. It's really cool when I see people in the audience with the same hair as I have. It's very flattering. Not too long ago I was that person in the audience." She's come a long way in the past few years and with Chris by her side, these two should only get bigger in 2009.

Rihanna Tells Elle What We've Been Wanting to Hear

In between touring with Kanye and spending QT with her puppy Oliver, Rihanna made time to chat with Elle magazine for its June issue. On top of looking typically fabulous in her photoshoot, Rihanna opened up about her family, her career, and - finally! - Chris Brown. Here's more:

On Chris Brown: “We’ve always been friends, but we’re very close now.”
On the rumors about Jay-Z: "Well, it’s crazy that you ask me that. People know that it’s not true. I think it’s kinda a cliché question, and people know it’s not true, so I don’t even know why it’s still addressed to this day. I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, You’re asking, but you know the answer. I don’t even like to address it anymore.”
On her hair: "I kept telling my managers, I’m cutting my hair. I’m cutting my hair. And they’re like, ‘How short? Not too short. Cut it how short?’ And I’m like, ‘Up to here.’ [Rihanna raises her hand up to her ear] They never believed me. So when it was time to do the album cover [for Good Girl], the night before I cut it, I dyed it black. We went straight to the photo shoot, and no one at the record label knew what I looked like. When we sent the pictures over, they saw the hair and they all loved it. They loved it.”

On her formerly alcoholic father: “That was way, way, way back. We’re friends now. Now my dad is like the coolest person on the planet. He doesn’t smother me. He lets me live my life. And he’s been like that a lot, even when I was younger. He would watch me making a mistake and he wouldn’t stop me. My dad, he lets me make it and then I learn.”
On meeting Jay-Z for the first time: "I remember staring into everybody’s eyes in the room while I was singing, and at that point, I was fearless. But the minute I stopped singing, I was like, Oh my God, Jay-Z is sitting right in front of me.”
On "Umbrella": “That song is very, very magical. Because even when I travel, I can’t believe the kind of people that know that record. Their age, their nationality, they don’t speak English, but they all know that song.”

Since Rihanna is such a private star, it's a treat to hear her finally open up. We know that she has a good heart, so it's especially wonderful to hear that things are going so well for her both personally and professionally.

Rihanna brought a splash of sunshine to Milan on Monday, walking around the city in a cute yellow dress. She recently trimmed her famous bob, proving that she's not planning on growing out her super short hairstyle. In fact, Rihanna's not the only one who is loving her 'do - she told In Style, “The first time I heard people were asking for the Rihanna, it was really flattering and maybe a little strange. It caught be by surprise, but now I feel it’s a very cool thing. I don’t feel the pressure to change it up again at all. Rihanna Deserves a Standing Ovation

Rihanna kept her short hair out of her face with quite the headband making her way through LAX on Thursday night. She's been sassing up the stage on tour with Kanye's Glow in the Dark tour, but she's got her own re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad to celebrate too. To accompany the album's already stellar tracks, Rihanna added "Take A Bow" which is the kind of anthem that is so fun to belt out and the video totally lives up to it.
