In my opinion, the best thing about any roast — be it turkey, beef, chicken, etc. — is the leftovers. There's just something about roasted meat that makes for a perfect sandwich.

It's Wednesday night, the middle of the week and I have no time to make dinner. Instead of running to a fast food joint, I turn to a sandwich. A quick, no cook meal that is filling, tasty, and good for me.

Wanna impress your husband with a deceptively simple meal that he is bound to lovingly devour? Make him this delicious open faced sandwich for dinner! When he comes home from work, the house will be filled with such a scrumptious smell of roasting meat that he'll think you spent all afternoon slaving over the stove.

Subway has done a good job marketing themselves as a fresh, low-fat alternative to other fast food chains. Turns out, Subway isn't half bad for you! I'm actually impressed.

I love Ike's Place so much that I could start a 'Wich of the Week spinoff devoted solely to sandwiches from Ike's. I was hesitant to write about my new favorite sandwich place in San Francisco, since the lines are long enough already. But keeping the enormous, palate-entertaining creations to myself wouldn't be in the spirit of sandwich love.

While I was down in Los Angeles for the PopSugar Tech Party, I couldn't pass up a trip to Phillipe the Original, the downtown LA institution that invented the French Dip. Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Phillipe's (as it's known to locals) offers everything you'd want from a historic restaurant, including old-timey signage, 10-cent coffee, and a sandwich whose construction has been honed over decades to perfection.
Typically, a French Dip sandwich involves hot roast beef served on a French roll with a side of au jus, a gravy whose name amusingly translates to "with juice."

There is a special place deep in every American's heart for their all time favorite deli sandwich. Whether it's pepper turkey with creamy avocado and crisp bacon or sharp cheddar, sweet mustard and Italian salami, everyone has a best-loved sandwich. More importantly, a particular deli that makes their beloved sandwich with just the right ratio of oil/vinegar to bread and perfectly thin slices of roast beef.
