Watch, Pass, or Rent: Boondock Saints II

Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, the buzzed-about sequel to the cult fave, hits theaters tomorrow - just in time for All Saints Day. (Such clever marketing.)

I already peeked at the trailer, and it looks like a very cool, stylized follow-up to its predecessor. This time, the storyline follows the MacManus brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) as they return to Boston to seek vengeance on mob members who murdered a priest.

Fans will probably be curious to see if it lives up to their beloved original, but I'm on the fence. It seems entertaining, but it could be one of those films that you love or hate - depending on if you're in the mood for gun-toting bloodshed. I'm just not 100 percent sure if that's how I want to spend my Saturday.

Tell me your stance: are you going to buy a ticket to Boondock Saints II? Or is shoot-'em-up stuff just not your thing?

Is Emma Watson Working with YSL?

Emma Watson's campaign with Burberry was a huge success and boosted the star's profile in the fashion world. She has since moved across the Atlantic to attend Brown University, but it seems she is still rubbing shoulders with the fashion elite. Earlier this week she was spotted at an ice hockey game in New York with Spanish rock star Rafael Cebrian and Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati. The meeting has prompted rumours of a collaboration between the two. Natalia Vodianova has already been connected with the Spring campaign, but the Autumn shows will come around quicker than you think. Meanwhile, rumours are swirling that Emma will again be the face of Burberry for Spring 2010. Would you like to see this?

Could Natalia Vodianova Be the New Face of YSL?

Yves Saint Laurent has an impressive portfolio of ad campaigns. They star some of the world's best known models including Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell. Next season they have recruited another well known face as rumour has it that Natalia Vodianova is to take the reigns.

The Russian beauty was reportedly shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the Spring/Summer 2010 campaign. She did attend the show earlier this month in a high waisted leather skirt.

I am already a big fan of Natalia and think it would be great to see more of her! Would you like to see her as the face of the French fashion house?

AllSaints: Online and Coming to a Store Near You

I've always admired AllSaints' slick leather jackets and cool coats from afar, but now that the London-based retailer is expanding into the US, it's on. “The consumer in London is very similar to the consumer in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo,” said Paul McAdam, of AllSaints North America. The brand just launched a US e-commerce site this week, and also plans on opening 30 to 50 stores across the US, beginning with one in LA and Miami by the end of this year, followed by two locations in NYC in the Spring. Oh, right now, the online store is offering free shipping on all US orders - get it before it's gone!

All About Grand-Saint-Bernard and Petit-Saint-Bernard!

Are you following the Tour de France? Admittedly, I'm barely brushed up on the race but Tuesday's ride for Stage 16 included two major mountain passes of special importance to me - Grand-Saint-Bernard and Petit-Saint-Bernard! The greater climb is 8,100 feet (the highest pass on the tour), followed by the little one at 7,180 which is more long than steep. As history would have it, the pass gets a name from Bernard of Menthon, an 11th-century monk who established a hospice over the pass, where the slobbery breed would help travelers cross with the aid of the iconic barrels of whisky.

Nowadays, there aren't really any working dogs at the monastery but Saint Bernards still have a presence for tourism's sake. It was only fitting that the (then) leader, Alberto Contador, would pose with the Working breed before continuing up the doggie passes, the first time in over 40 years that it's been included in the cycling challenge.

New from YSL is Yves Saint Laurent Lip Twins Duo, $30. Here is a totally new concept in cosmetics. Lip Twins Duo is a double lipstick encased in couture jewel-like packaging. This luxurious gold cylinder houses: two lipsticks, a mirror and when you pull out the monogrammed crown...you'll even find a brush! Keep turning the YSL logo for endless surprises.

The concept behind this invention is that a woman can now combine colors and textures to suit her many different moods. Wait, is this a little condescending? Women don't have mood swings (wink).

One side of the cylinder contains a satin lipstick that adds fullness to your lips. It has a rich texture and contains filler micro-spheres composed of dehydrated hyaluronic acid. They capture moisture on the lips like molecular sponges to really plump them up and fill in fine lines.

Biggest Headline of 2008: Rest In Peace, Yves Saint Laurent

It was a sad Sunday. I remember waking to the news of fashion great Yves Saint Laurent passing June 1; throughout the week the fashion world mourned. We put together a tribute slideshow, but that will never do the couturier justice. Looking back on Fab, before June 1, we featured Yves Saint Laurent on a regular basis. Most being new school YSL, under the direction of creative director Stefano Pilati, all being rooted in the man who popularized menswear for women, beatnik, and safari style. Even before then, Yves was thrown into the fire at Christian Dior, upon Dior's death, and kept the house afloat at the ripe age of 21. This man was arguably the first couturier to delve into ready-to-wear. His Rive Gauche stores sold his RTW creations, and he became an international sensation with actress Catherine Deneuve and icon Loulou de la Falaise favoring his clothes. Like many risk-takers, Yves's collections were often pooh-poohed by the press - but ended up setting the trends. Yves retired in 2002. The Bag to Have: Yves Saint Laurent Roady

Hollywood has a new bag obsession and its name is the Yves Saint Laurent Roady (From $1,195 to $1,495). You know, the one Christy Turlington is showing off in the Fall ads.

Everyone from Kate Beckinsale to Kylie Minogue, Mary-Kate Olsen to Leighton Meester, Tilda Swinton to Rachel Bilson, and Selma Blair to Freida Pinto has already made it their arm candy.
