Scallop patterns are showing up all over the design world lately. I'm particularly fond of the scalloping pattern on Catherine Hammerton's Scale wallpaper. Scalloping looks like the wavy pattern found on the edge of a scallop's shell.

While I'm a huge fan of corn on the cob, lately I haven't been able to get enough corn salad. If you've never carefully cut the kernels off a fresh corn cob, I suggest you do so tonight. With its succulent scallops, crunchy bell peppers, and sweet corn, this is one satisfying salad.

Scalloped edging is a bit of an unusual trend for Spring that can't help but make a statement. It was spotted on the catwalk at Chloe and Christopher Kane where it was used to edge dresses, jackets and ruffles! It's a fun and flirty addition to clothes which has begun to appear on the High Street too.

On last Thursday's episode of Hell's Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay showed the chefs how to shuck scallops. I found the brief lesson to be incredibly informative, as I'd never shucked a scallop before. Have you?
