On Tuesday night in Spain, actress Scarlett Johansson debuted a new creamy brown hair colour at the premiere of The Spirit. I love the way this shade warms up her skin, but after taking a look at some of old photos, I also like the contrast between her eyes and the deep brown shade. Check out Scarlett's smooth virginal ashy-blonde hair back in 2001.

Back in December, it was announced that the design duo of Dolce & Gabbana would be coming out with a long-anticipated makeup line, with a mysterious "Hollywood starlet" to be the spokesmodel. That starlet just happened to turn out to be Scarlett Johansson. And yesterday, the young actress made an appearance at the Dolce & Gabbana Makeup event during Milan Fashion Week, undoubtedly wearing a palette of shades from the collection.

For a while, it seemed as if Scarlett Johansson was going darker and darker (and redder and redder) with her locks. But at last night's Opening Night of LA Shorts Fest '09, she debuted this lighter-toned hairstyle with a bit more strawberry, and a little less auburn. We already know that the actress is definitely not shy when it comes to wearing bold makeup looks — or even hardly any makeup at all, for that matter.

Since she's the face of Dolce & Gabbana's new cosmetics line, it was only fitting that actress Scarlett Johansson attended the brand's exciting debut makeup party over the weekend in Milan, Italy. Most of you love Scarlett as a platinum-blonde best over toffee, dark brown and ash-blonde hair colours, but how do you feel about this new deep, dark cherry-bark red hue?

With wispy tendrils falling all over the place nowadays, I figured it was high time to give the bangless babes some love, too. I'd say polar opposite of the bohemian up-do would be the tightly together ponytail. Just this week alone, I spotted these three ladies wearing similarly sleek looks that focus on their face, makeup, and bone structure.

According to a study, those who have bad hair days suffer from lower self-esteem than those who feel good about their hair. The kicker of it all is that males seem to be even more affected than females — how about that?
When my hair is acting up, I usually opt for a ponytail and will often try out a more dramatic makeup look to compensate.

Last but not least, it's the final installment in my beautiful bangs for your face shape series. Heart-shaped faces are suited to support lots of different bang styles since the forehead is often very high.
Again, side-swept or off-center long bangs are great for drawing attention to your eyes and cheekbones and away from your sharp chin.

Scarlett Johansson showed off a shift in hair color at last night's photo call for The Spirit. This new auburn hue gives her a much softer look, and those curls show off all of the highlights. (Seems as though she's been inspired by the lipstick from the movie posters, too.) What do you think of this new color on Scarlett?

In a recent SNL appearance, Scarlett Johansson was singing the praises of porcelain fountains, complete with pouffy hair and shiny makeup. And at Moet & Chandon's Tribute to Cinema early today in Tokyo, we saw her once again wearing some pouffy hair and shiny makeup — but this time, it had a more polished perspective.
We've seen Scarlett in minimal makeup, and we've seen her heavily done up, but when it comes to her sweet and smoky palette from earlier today, do you think the look has just the right amount of oomph factor, with the balance of pinks and charcoal grays, or is it just too overwhelming?

Big hair is back! And since the glossary post about hair teasing turned out to be so popular, I thought I'd create a little do-it-yourself guide so you can see just how easy it is to create some volume at your crown.
