Iron Man 2 Is Coming, Hopefully With Improvements

It was my favorite superhero movie of last year (it was so fun), and I'm anxiously awaiting its sequel to hit the big screen next year. Heck yeah I'm excited for Iron Man 2, but I'm not sure how I feel about another video game installment, given what happened last time. You know what I mean.

I can't think of a better way to continue the fun of a movie than in video game form, but there haven't been many to write home about, Iron Man included. But hopefully, the trusty hands of Sega can pull it off this time. Announced yesterday, Iron Man 2 is definitely hitting the shelves next year and will be available on your PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS consoles. Did you play the first installment of the Iron Man franchise? Do you even care about a second?

Sega Robot Kitty: Almost Like a Real One, Just Not Alive

I've been dying to get a cat but my apartment has a strict antifeline rule in my lease. Enter Sega Toys, who have created this lovely robotic cat, complete with touch sensors and real-kitty movements.

The kitty cat, whose name is "Yume-Neko Venus," which translates to "Dream Cat Venus", is kind of a dream. There's no litter to clean up, no hairballs, no stinky cat food, just a furry purring buddy.

True: There is also no heartbeat, but these guys probably have the same energy level as the real thing.

Following my repeated ploys for you all to share your favorite gadgets with me, PartySugar has come through, once again by sharing photos of her family's walk down memory lane with some Sega action. "This Easter my siblings decided it was time to bring Sega back," says Party. "My brother busted his old Sega out and was super stoked to see it still worked! PartySister proceeded to spend the next three hours glued to Aladdin her childhood favorite game."

I know that this long list looks scary, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, it'll be a snap the second time around.

First of all, join the My Favorite Gadgets group
Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"
Give your photo a Title
Leave the category as "general"
Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "My Favorite Gadgets")
Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

For a mere $25, you can have your own collection of gaming controllers that span decades - from Super NES to PS3 to Sega - so there's sure to be one that satisfies your inner gaming goddess. Sold as a set of seven, the acrylic ornaments come in four different colors, but without your string or hooks, so you'll have to fashion your own way of getting them on your tree.

Don't celebrate with a Douglas Fir? I've already thought of several different ways to incorporate these into my everyday life after the holidays. Window ornaments, wall art, even sealed into the top of a DIY outdoor table. See? I bet you can come up with a few on your own.

Vintage Video Game Memorial: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker

However you watched Michael Jackson's memorial, we all have our own ways of dealing with the loss of a cultural icon. For my friends, it was by pulling out something dusty from the back of a closet: a Sega console and a copy of - wait for it - Michael Jackson's 1990 video game Moonwalker.

We blew out the game and hooked it up, and like Jackson himself, gameplay is a pretty outrageous. You dance villains to death and free kidnapped children all while midi "Smooth Criminal" plays. And at level intervals, the 16-bit king of pop's face comes on-screen and yells "OW!" in case you forgot who made the game.

Vintage Geek: Sega and Harrison Ford

Described as the "world's foremost celebrity painter," Brandon Bird has garnered attention for his hip, vintage-inspired pieces and keen sense of pop culture. His piece, No One Wants to Play Sega with Harrison Ford, reminds me of a time when Sega was the coolest console around and Harrison Ford, aka Han Solo, was a hero to geeks around the world.

I am a Nintendo girl, but I always had fun playing Sega and thought Super Mario could get a good run out of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Microsoft Announces Three New Xbox 360 Bundles

Gaming bundles are the best. Why? Because you usually get a console with a couple games at a fraction of the price you would have paid if you purchased them all separately.

If you need a new Xbox 360, Microsoft has just unveiled three new Xbox 360 bundles that offer Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda with the Pro and Elite bundles, and Sega Superstar Tennis with the Arcade version. No word on pricing or where you can pick these bundles up just yet.
