Jen and John Cozy Up With Fellow Oscar Partiers at VF

Despite rumors that Graydon Carter was scaling things back for this year's Vanity Fair Oscars party, the soiree was as A-List as ever at its new venue the Sunset Towers. Jennifer Aniston could relax after her presenting duties, and when she and John Mayer hit the party, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. The couple cuddled up every chance they got, and he twittered a sweet message about her. Salma Hayek hugged her friend Penelope Cruz to celebrate her Supporting Actress win. Elsewhere, Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth caught up with presenter Halle Berry to smile for the cameras, while Jake Gyllenhaal shared a moment with Reese Witherspoon.

The fans let loose quite the screams when Kate Winslet, the star of the night, hit the red carpet with her Oscar in hand. Once inside the party she shared it with fellow nominee Meryl Streep just a bit. Madonna had her own party to host with Demi Moore, but she also stopped by VF, where she showed off her toned arms. Apparently even Captain Sully made a surprise appearance at the bash, which may have been smaller than usual but didn't lack in the glamour department.

It Was a Night Full of Tears and Laughter at the Golden Globes

After last year's abridged version of the Globes, everyone seemed excited to go back to the traditional show with all the Hollywood glamour and exciting speeches. Jennifer Lopez kicked off the show in her gold revealing gown where she handed out the first award to last night's real star - Kate Winslet. The actress scored a double win at the beginning and the end of the show and her heartfelt loving thank yous to both Leo and her husband were a highlight. So was when she forgot someone in particular in her category - Kate recovered and gave Angelina a shout out as well, but phew, we got a little worried when she asked, "Who's the other one?" Bruce Springsteen joked that he has and never will be in the same category as Clint Eastwood again. Chris Nolan accepted Heath Ledger's posthumous win to a standing ovation from the whole room. Johnny Depp made a quick appearance to present Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy to Sally Hawkins. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn't take home any trophies but looked just fine cuddling up and kissing throughout the ceremony.

The 30 Rock crew got big laughs most of the night. Some of Alec's jokes fell flat but we're happy he scored an award and even happier loose cannon Tracey Morgan was allowed to accept the award for the show. Mad Men got to celebrate for real this year with their trophy for Best Dramatic Series. Colin Farrell was happy and surprised to win an award though he sniffed and made a not-so-appropriate coke joke. That still went over better than Sacha Baron Cohen, who was booed by the audience when he joked that because of the recession Madonna had to let go of her personal assistant Guy Ritchie. Spielberg getting the Cecile B. Demille award reminded us so much of why we love the movies especially what he has created. Mickey Rourke won Best Dramatic Actor but his acceptance speech was a little too colorful for the censors. Slumdog Millionaire and Vicky Cristina Barcelona were the big winners of the night and everyone enjoyed celebrating at one of our favorite award shows of the season.

Rumer Willis Declares Herself As A Blonde

Justin Timberlake led the pack of young Hollywood voters at the Declare Yourself event in Beverly Hills last night. Hayden isn't wasting any time as a new voter and Kristen Bell continued to show the love by supporting her new Heroes co-star. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Welcomes New Queen: Madonna

The Waldorf-Astoria in NYC rocked last night to welcome the newest class of inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Madonna looked happy to accept the honor and while Guy Ritchie wasn't around, her Hard Candy collaborator Justin Timberlake was there to help celebrate. Fellow inductees include John Mellencamp and Leonard Cohen. Madonna didn't sing, but she did ask Iggy Pop to come and play which he did with no shirt (of course). On stage Madonna said, "Thirty-five years later, people are still encouraging me to believe in my dreams. What more could I ask for?" While Justin took a shot at a certain ex, "The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple, but there is truly only one Madonna." Seems a little unnecessary of JT, but congrats to all the new Rock and Roll Hall of Famers!

In typical Madonna fashion she kept things risqué even without any racy performance - she joked on stage about telling JT to drop his pants to give him a B12 shot and her past drug use including "smoking a joint" when she met her publicist Liz Rosenberg and taking ecstasy with a music exec after giving him her first demo. Yeah, I don't think 50's going to slow her down any at all.

Adam Brody Is Pretty Predictable

Adam Brody looked absolutely typically Seth Cohen in his flannel shirt, jeans and Wayfarers out around West Hollywood yesterday. He is working again - this time on an indie film, Death of Love alongside Josh Lucas - but he's definitely still got a lot of time to hang around LA. I had my very own Adam celebrity sighting this weekend in Hollywood. He looked, well, pretty much just like this, only wearing a hoodie because the weather in LA was terrible on Friday night. Thankfully, I somehow managed not to yell something along the lines of "Seth & Summer 4-Eva" at him. Heh.

Adam Takes A Moment To Think Outside The Club

Adam Brody had a little bit of trouble getting into Eleven nightclub in LA this weekend. Not sure what the problem is, but Adam looks to have taken some time to ponder the situation. Obviously, he's still pretty lost without the Bilson, but I'm starting to forgive the scruff. Perhaps he was striking that thinking pose in order to concoct a Seth Cohenesque plot to get in? Sigh, I know, I know, I should probably stop calling him Seth Cohen at some point. Maybe when he gets a new job someday.

Adam Brody Steams Up His Subway Run

Adam Brody was looking H-O-T hot leaving Subway with a friend in LA yesterday. I don't know if it's the hair or the outfit more, but it totally works for me. Give it up for the slender (scrawny? heh) boys! While I, like Buzz, pretty much despised his Sundance movie Death in Love, he was the best part of the film. Unfortunately, his next project, The Justice League Movie, has been put on hold due to the writers' strike. Until that gets back on track (or he gets another job), I'll just sit back and enjoy the more manly version of Seth Cohen.

Adorable Adam Brody spent the last day of 2007 running errands in LA wearing his usual hoodie. He seems to be spending most of his time all by his lonesome these days, but we know how smooth his game is so we're sure he found someone special to kiss at midnight on NYE. Back in April you guys predicted that Adam would be The O.C.'s biggest star, but things have been quiet lately in regards to Adam's career. We'll keep our fingers crossed that 2008 has big things in store for him since we could all use a little more Seth Cohen in our lives.
