I Want This Wardrobe: Sex and the City Movie

In case you've been MIA, the whole Sugar gang finally saw the Sex and the City movie. But don't worry, I'm not going to utter a word about the story line. What I am going to open my trap about are the wardrobes of the fabulous foursome, courtesy of Patricia Field. Almost all of Carrie's outfits were dead on and gush worthy, but it was a little strange to see Miranda always dressed up and accessorized. I guess she's grown up and now appreciates fashion! Because I'm Fab, I was instantly able to identify what each character was wearing as soon as I saw it. Not! Let's just say I have friends in high places who were amazing enough to share their wealth of wardrobe knowledge. And what an excessive amount of wealth it is - dive in!

Like the majority of the female population, we're getting more and more excited about the imminent unveiling of Sex and the City: The Movie, especially with rumors about that it may premiere at Cannes next month.

We'll finally see if Carrie and Big actually tie the knot, but more importantly, we'll be lusting after a myriad of fabulous fashion pieces. In preparation, I've started researching the movie wardrobe and found the most perfect diamond gold hoops that Carrie paired with a typically glamorous sequined dress.

What's better than Mexico? Why, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda in Mexico! Now if only they had filmed in Zihuatanejo during my trip. Oh well, next time. It's no surprise that the Fab four brightened the already-colorful background of their hot locale by wearing gorgeous swimsuits and cover-ups. Some of their outfit choices, mainly Samantha's, were too extreme for the average gal, but if you're a part of Sex and the City, you're anything but average. Oh, and if you want to know what they're cracking up about, go see the movie.

The Look For Less: Carrie Bradshaw

Here is a thoroughly modern Carrie look that didn't make it into the movie. Oh sh*t. Did I just spoil something? Nah. This outfit may look familiar though as it did appear in promotional items. Too bad it wasn't on the big screen because it's a keeper. It's also an expensive ensemble; the dress is Vivienne Westwood (that tailoring=to die for), the shoes are Manolo Blahnik, the feather clutch is Salvatore Ferragamo and the studded belt is vintage. The Look For Less: Miranda Hobbes

If you've seen the Sex and the City movie, you know that Cynthia Nixon's character, Miranda Hobbes, was leaps and bounds more stylish in the flick than she was in the show. Perhaps age made her fashion-wise or maybe Carrie's flair for style rubbed off on her. Either way, she left behind the pinstripe suits and busted out the chunky earrings, colorful frocks, and stilettos.

Fans will be thrilled to know that back by popular demand is the inexpensive Maggy London dress Miranda wore in one of the first scenes of the movie; she wore it with an Alexander McQueen bag, Gucci pumps and a vintage belt. I Want This Wardrobe: Carrie Bradshaw

This week it was officially confirmed that the Sex and the City Movie sequel was going ahead as Sarah Jessica Parker slipped back in to Carrie's heels and began strutting along the streets of Manhattan. The exact details of the movie are yet to be revealed (will she move to Dubai or London? will she have a baby?), but one thing is clear – her style is still just as desirable! Carrie was posing outside an apartment block (did they manage to save heaven on fifth?) in gold Louboutin heels with a Chanel clutch and a pretty white Summer dress. Later, she slipped in to something more comfortable as she wore retro sportswear whilst pulling along an impressive pile of luggage (where is she going?)! Chris Noth aka Big has also been spotted in front of the camera. The movie is expected to be released next Summer, are you excited?

Love it or Hate it: Samantha Jones' '80s Look

Filming for the Sex and the City 2 movie continued yesterday as the girls dressed up in classic '80s attire. Carrie had a funky Madonna vibe, Miranda was formal, Charlotte was very preppy whilst Samantha went for full-on bad taste! I love the clashing prints of Samantha's ensemble complete with red buckle boots (very similar to a Chloe pair from Autumn 2009). Although I wouldn't actually go out like this, Patricia Field has definitely nailed what we all imagined Samantha to be like 20 years ago! What do you think of her '80s look?

SJP and Her Girls Go Casual in the City Before Morocco

Sarah Jessica Parker was a little bundled up earlier today as she reported to work on Sex and the City 2. The gray weather was a departure from their so-far sunny skies on set, but Kim Cattrall wasn't letting it inhibit her smile. Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis also arrived on set for the afternoon of filming, looking ready to get right back into their characters' typically fashionable wardrobes. We've seen lots of the foursome doing their thing in the Big Apple, but the cast and crew are rumored to be heading to Morocco once they wrap things up stateside.

SJP, Kristin, Cynthia and Kim Go '80s For SATC2!

Earlier this week we saw Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon reunited on the set of Sex and the City 2 looking super-stylish. Yesterday, however, they were all showing off some very different looks in Manhattan as their wardrobe was injected with a whole lot of '80s! Kim certainly seemed to have fun in her scene as she swore at a motorist - FabUK wants to know if you love or hate her outfit? Cynthia was looking rather dowdy as Miranda, Kristin's Charlotte was as preppy as ever, and SJP was channelling Madonna in her outfit as Carrie. This must have been a lot of fun to film - I can't wait to see it all up on the big screen! What do you think of their '80s looks?
