Trend Alert: Crisp White Shirt

I guess this shouldn't really be called a trend alert, but rather a wardrobe staple as a crisp white shirt should always be an integral part of your wardrobe. But seeing as Katie Holmes was spotted out this week in hers I thought I'd pick the best currently available to share with you. You don't have to spend a lot on a shirt but if you do the tailoring and the fit will obviously be better. However, if you're the kind of person that can't wear white without spilling something down it then I would recommend one of the bargain High Street options. Gear Review: Splits 59 Eve Cami

Every once in a while I like to splurge on myself and get a great new workout item as a reward for all my hard work. The Splits 59 Eve Cami ($60) fits the bill for the perfect reward.

The tank has a built-in bra, though I would wear a sports bra underneath to make sure your girls are supported. It's a super-soft spandex and nylon blend, and the mesh panel in back provides ideal ventilation. But the real reason I love this tank, and would pay $60 for it, is because of the drawstring blouson bottom. Our tummies are not always as flat as we'd like them to be - after all that's part of the reason we're at the gym, right? - and there is no need to suck anything in while wearing this shirt. The cami flatters your waist by being tighter on the top and looser around the waist. Let's just say it doesn't hug your belly in places you'd rather not be hugged. This tank acts as my go-to top on days when I've had a few too many bagel sandwiches because I still feel great in it.

Would You Wear a One-Piece?

One-piece is no longer a term that is saved solely for swimwear as body suits edge their way back in to fashion. They began to re-emerge last summer but they're back again for Spring and as unflattering as ever! If you have prominent hips or a muffin top (as it is so flatteringly called) then this is probably a trend to sit out although it is an easy way to make sure your shirt is always tucked in! This one is by Theory for £160, but would you wear it?

Time T-Shirt: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Rocking a geeky watch is one thing, but this Time T-Shirt ($37) with a fully-functional digital clock ups the ante. The shirt uses electro-luminescence technology - a very weak electric current that passes through the shirt, causing the material to generate light and display the time. Don't worry, it doesn't radiate heat or use hazardous materials.

The shirt is powered by two AAA batteries (ha! How many times do you get to read a sentence that geeky?), and is 100 percent cotton and completely machine-washable. What do you think?

Gavin Is Thankful For His Time on the Court

Gavin Rossdale fit in a workout on the tennis court before the long holiday weekend in LA on Wednesday. The singer is a big fan of the game, and we can't help but admire his shirtless form which is looking even more amazing than last year's pre-Turkey Day game. Gavin and Gwen are great fitness role models, which they've already instilled in the boys with their frequent park visits including an annual Thanksgiving stroll.

Not so fast, Rih! Let me examine your cool top before you rush off to dinner. I love how boyfriend shirts give off a sexy, masculine appeal. In fact, I have a couple from a past boyfriend that have lasted me longer than our relationship. Ha.
