I'm jumping for jumpers this season - kinda corny, but it's true. They're a good alternative to wearing shorts or dresses and they're so much fun! This Paul & Joe Ruffle Crepe Short Jumpsuit Tuxedo ($185, originally $370) is super cute and unique. I love the ruffle detailing but it's a bit pricey for something that's not necessarily dressy and yet not casual enough to wear often. What's a girl to do?

This Forever 21 Abigail Jumpsuit ($30) is the answer to my shopping woe. The cut is dead on and the white top gives the jumper a crisp, Parisian feel - mission accomplished.

2010 Spring New York Fashion Week: Vena Cava

Vena Cava always does things a little differently. Both in show presentation and clothing inspiration; that's why they are a growing fashion force. Vena Cava was at Milk Studios - where numerous designers are showing this time around - and I arrived promptly on time because I heard rumblings the designers were doing a runway show in lieu of their usual presentation style. They did both. It started as a runway show, models perched themselves around and on ladders, then it turned into a presentation - the best of both worlds. The Fiery Furnaces performing live were an awesome accompaniment to the modern, exotic collection. From marbelized prints, to laser cuts, to hints of skin, Vena Cava loves to play. But in a very sophisticated manner. A dress may be baby doll, but it's far from goo-goo-gaa-gaa in a sexy black-rayon jersey and metal safety-pin camisole. The palette was moody - black, brown, grays - but a punchy orange saved it from somber. The orange cupra jersey asymmetrical dress made my heart skip. Lisa and Sophie, the hotshot design duo, continue to experiment with separates. Dresses are always unique, but skirts, jumpsuits, shorts, busters, leggings, and tees were thrown into the mix. Accessories weren't forgotten; stylist Kate Young completed looks with Persol shades, Robert Clergerie shoes, and Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. jewels. Vena Cava - where there's smoke, there's fire.

She was a wild child of the '70s - she even dated Mick Jagger - so you know her style was full of rock 'n' roll sass. Trend Alert: Silk Jumpsuits

There is a full-on '80s revival on the horizon and it begins with the jumpsuit. They were spotted on catwalks back in September where Stella McCartney celebrated their return in slouchy, soft silk.

Celebrities showed their support for the look in November when Blake Lively and Fearne Cotton both sported the style. Now they have emerged on the High Street and I have rounded up some of the best.

I would strongly recommend going in to a shop and trying a few on as I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by their flattering nature. The baggy shapes are usually the kindest, opt for one with a waist tie to avoid losing all shape.

Team longer styles with killer heels, or if you're feeling brave wear a short jumpsuit with gladiator sandals on warmer days.

Trend Alert: Floral Playsuits

Ever since I spotted Whitney Port wearing a floral playsuit on The Hills, I have been lusting after this very fun item! Now that the days are longer and it is starting to feel warmer, I can start seriously considering a purchase.

Short playsuits are a great way to wear this must-have item. They are much more flattering than their longer-legged sister (the jumpsuit) which can end up looking frumpy. For hot summer days, the best way to keep cool is in a spaghetti strap version, like this one by Zimmermann Babushka (pictured, £191), it's ideal for the beach. Team with vintage gold jewellery for a boho look.

Alternatively, on cooler days try this higher necked version by Topshop (£50) which you could wear with tights and a cardigan or with gladiators and bare legs for warmer climates. See below for more examples of floral playsuits available now.

FABTV: Beetlejuice "Day-O"

Beetlejuice is such an awesome flick. I kinda wanted to save this FABTV for around Halloween, but that's hella far away and when inspiration strikes . . . This scene, led by the glorious Catherine O'Hara, is unforgettable. The eccentric dinner guests, and goth daughter Winona, sing the Banana Boat song and execute some hot moves. Notice the disco decadence of the woman in bronze lame - is that a jumpsuit?! The scene is short and sweet, and the finale - attack of the lobster claw! - is brilliant.

Fab Finding Follow-Up: A Wintry White Christmas
