You can tell that Fall is fast approaching, because tons of celebrities have been getting serious with short, rounded, bright red nails. This week alone, Hillary Duff, Lo Bosworth, and Mel B. all sported them.

I'm smitten with gogosushi's cozy outfit. For maximum warmth, the cable knit cutie layered her tweed shorts and chic DIY Cavour print tee with tights and a nubby sweater. Notice how she's on to the over the knee boots trend.

It's not that red nails have ever gone out of style, it's just that the variation of shades and the shape of the nail changes. For example, in the '80s, long pointy nails rocked, and in the '90s, long rounded nails were stylin'. This season, short red nails are red hot!

Swoon, school boy crush. Sosupersam nailed the stripes/blazer/khaki short combo. The scrunched sleeves and high-waisted and belted shorts are excellent styling stories.

Pause for paws! If your dog doesn't require regular groomer visits to keep his coat clipped and nails trimmed, there are a couple things you should still be doing at home to keep him sore-free and unmatted. Even though short-haired dogs are fine after a good Furminator session, take time to examine your pooch's paws for two different purposes.

Many parents fret over the task of cutting their wee one's nails. Parents who forgo the chore for too long run the risk of carrying a tot around that looks like it has been dragged through a prickly rose bush. Keep the youngster's face fresh and scratch free by following these simple tips:
- Bath time: After soaking a tot in the tub for a short amount of time their nails soften, making it easier to snip the hard edges away.

Highlights
Treatment for Ingrown Toenail:
- Orthonyxia, a surgical technique that implants a small metal brace into the top of the nail, was as effective as traditional surgical techniques for preventing ingrown toenail from recurring, according to one study.
- A nonsurgical method for treating ingrown toenail with chemicals uses either sodium hydroxide or phenol, but one study shows that sodium hydroxide procedures have a better outcome and faster recovery than phenol procedures.
Treatment for Forefoot Pain:
- Ultrasound-guided injection of alcohol might provide relief from Morton's neuroma, according to one study. Symptoms improved in 94% of patients who had the treatment, a success rate comparable to that of surgery.
Treatment for Heel Pain:
- NSAIDs reduce pain and disability in people with plantar fasciitis when used with other techniques, such as night splints and stretching.
- Studies show that extracorporeal shockwave therapy provides a very small reduction in heel pain without side effects. It may be a good option for patients who haven't responded well to conservative treatment.
Work-related Foot Problems:
- An estimated 120,000 job-related foot injuries occur every year, about a third of them involving the toes.
