It was reported late last year that Sienna Miller and her sis Savannah were going into the business of designing clothes. Well, Portfolio has released the first ad photo and details of Twenty8Twelve (Sienna's birthday) and though you can't see much from the black-and-white photo, the collection seems promising, as it's not going to be attached to any particular chain store. If the collection will mimic Sienna's boho-chic style, I'll be happy!

Celebrities Who Played Designer in 2007

Celebrities have become a designing powerhouse in their own right, and in 2007, more Fab faces joined the fray. Mary-Kate and Ashley added cool contemporary line Elizabeth and James; SJP launched the budget-friendly Bitten at Steve & Barry's; Gwen's little L.A.M.B. made a runway comeback; Lauren Conrad reached her dream of becoming a designer; and both Sienna Miller and Penelope Cruz teamed with their sisters to cull up some seriously sizzlin' clothes. Admittedly: some of them were hits and some were misses. You all know how much I look to Celebrity Style for inspiration, so here's to hoping 2008 brings just as many fun collaborations!

Does Your Man Steal Your Clothes? Sienna Miller's Does!

I read this story about Sienna Miller and her new man Rhys Ifans and upon closer inspection discovered that Rhys is wearing Sienna's leopard Louise Vuitton scarf (if you can spare $1,325, buy the same one here) in the shot of them in the car. Later, when they exit the car, Sienna takes her accessory back and puts it around her neck, where it belongs.

There are a couple things wrong with this picture. Firstly, men should stay away from leopard print, unless they're cheekily trying to get frisky in the bedroom. Secondly, they shouldn't wear their girlfriends' clothes. Am I being way harsh? Does your man steal your clothes?

Sienna's All Smiles in Shorts at Store Opening

Sienna Miller is currently starring on Broadway in After Miss Julie, alongside Jonny Lee Miller, but yesterday the actress and clothing designer headed to something a little more fashionable - the opening of Rag & Bone in New York. Wearing shorts that must have been freezing in the cold weather, Sienna checked out the clothes and posed for photographs. Earlier this year she traveled to the Congo to make a short but powerful documentary about the lives of women living in treacherous conflict, and the result is now online to watch. Do you think that celebrity involvement like Sienna's brings more world issues to your attention?

Fab Ad: Isabel Marant, Fall '09

I admit, I'm a bit disappointed with Isabel Marant's Fall campaign. For some reason, the designer swapped out the awesome Daria Werbowy for the newly married Milla Jovovich. The ad, shot by Inez and Vinoodh, pictures Milla - in the same exact pose - wearing Marant's delectable fur chubbies, velvet shorts, soft tees, tiered skirts, and luscious studded booties. Remember when Sienna Miller donned them during her G.I. Joe circuit? I love the clothes, but the ad doesn't do them justice. Call me crazy but there was something about Daria that embodied Marant's fun fashion, and Milla just leaves me kinda bored. Thoughts?

Sienna Still Smiles Despite Splitting Up With Balthazar

Sienna Miller opted for the natural look and comfortable clothes as she caught a flight from Los Angeles to London over the weekend. We haven't seen the actress with Balthazar Getty since February, and now reports suggest the couple have split for good. A friend says Sienna broke up with Balthazar as there was "too much baggage" but the pair remain good friends, and Sienna is now reportedly getting more friendly with Josh Hartnett after visiting him in hospital last month. Regardless of what's happening in her private life, Sienna's positive about her professional life and the release of GI Joe, saying: "It’s going to be big for me". By the time she hits Broadway in September perhaps the focus will be back on her acting.

London Fashion Week A/W 2009: Twenty8Twelve

Sienna and Savannah Miller's Twenty8Twelve show has been a highly anticipated event at London Fashion Week. It had a star-studded front row so far with designer pal Matthew Williamson proudly watching his longtime fans take their turn in the limelight. The clothing was wearable in a London chic way, with plenty of denim, cropped jackets, and rock chick style.

There were a few thigh-skimming minidresses in eye-catching colours, but otherwise, the girls relied on a dark colour palette and remained true to Sienna's own individual style. From leather jackets to dark hot pants, you can imagine seeing Sienna in any of these catwalk ensembles, either on the streets of London or at a party.

The collection wasn't ground breaking by any means, but it contained important day-to-night separates. Savannah explained, "is the way women today really dress." Although this is a celebrity clothing range, Savannah was actually trained at Central Saint Martins and the collection reveals her fashion knowledge mixed with good business sense, which goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Designer of the Day: Sienna Miller

Another day, another actress starts her own clothing line. Only this time the actress is Sienna Miller and she's not just putting her name on a brand someone else is designing. She's going into business with her sister Savannah who has a degree in design from St Martins in London. And seeing that Sienna is as famous for her style as she is for her acting (or dating Jude Law for that matter), her label Twenty8Twelve is bound to be a success. The name is based on her birthday. Here's more:

The diffusion-priced line, which will launch for Fall 2007, is intended as a rebuke to the dumbed-down state of the celebrity/tabloid fashion cycle. "Neither of us has stylists," declared Sienna. "There's such a lack of individuality now-what we're trying to say is, do it for yourself!" And who can blame the girl for wanting to seize the trend controls? "I wear something, it's in Heat magazine, then everywhere the next week!" said Miller. "I'm like, wait-I bought that in a market in Paris!"

The Millers have worked out their own process of remote cybersibling design: "We Web-chat everyday," said Sienna. "If I find something in a thrift store in some weird town that I'm shooting in, I show it to Savannah on the Webcam. I can say stupid words to her about clothes that other people wouldn't understand. She gets it. We've worked really hard. This isn't about just lending a name to something and not really being involved." Savannah, who has been freelancing for Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson, and Betty Jackson, added, "It's really about how we dress. Sienna has incredible intuition. Like, I saw her in a big Versace chain belt once, and said, 'What's that?' Then chains were everywhere."

There's no question that people love Sienna's style, but I'm doubting she single-handedly brought back the chain. Sometimes I don't know what that girl is thinking.
