Christian Siriano's success has skyrocketed since Project Runway, and so have his prices. Take for instance this Christian Siriano Silk Chiffon One Shoulder Dress ($2,950) - Siriano is now sold at Intermix, btw. I love the color combination and frothy silk layers, but the price is pretty hard to swallow. Do you think it's worth the big buckaroos?

Trend Alert: Drop Waist Dress

Sometimes trends aren't about dramatic changes in what we wear, but rather slight shifts in style that give your ensemble a new look. For Autumn 2009, I have noticed a lot of drop waist dresses on offer which elongate your shape.

There are plenty of party dresses in this style which will take you through to Christmas. At Oasis there is an embellished dress (£80) which would look great with thick tights and platforms. I also really like Alberta Ferretti's silk chiffon number (£345) which is slightly longer and would look great on boyish shapes.

2009 Cannes Film Festival: Diane Kruger

I've been waiting for this moment all week. Here's my girl Diane at the Inglorious Basterds premiere at Cannes. She looks like royalty in her ivory silk chiffon cowl back Marchesa dress with silver hand embroidered detail. Wow, Diane, Marchesa, Cannes - it's too good to be true. The cowl back adds some sexy drama, while the overall fit is delicious. Her star and crescent diamond earrings are also lovely. Done.

2009 Fall New York Fashion Week: Marchesa

I knew Marchesa was going to be special when, as I ran into the entrance to escape the rain, Diane Kruger's and my eyes met. Only for a nanosecond, as she was on her way back into the rain, she slipped on her shades and was off like Cinderella. Many of the billowing gowns and fairytale frocks inside were fit for princess Diane. It was nasty outside, fantasy inside.

I was a Marchesa presentation virgin and I can never go back. Marchesa, always romantic and enchanting, served layers and layers of tulle, silk chiffon, ribbons, embroideries, bows, sequins, and lace. A celestial theme of shooting stars, sparkle, and unicorns felt fantastical. This lilac chiffon-draped dress with embroidered bodice can easily earn Kate Winslet a best dressed nod at the Oscars this weekend. The shoes, by Louboutin, were satin, super high, and sometimes glittered and laced. While Marchesa's gowns tend to steal the spotlight, a couple pant ensembles were sharp; tuxedo trousers paired with romantic ruffles blouses and sculptured jackets. Smitten yet?

Paris Fashion Week, A/W 2009: Alexander McQueen

Whilst many designers are playing it safe this year in order to remain commercial, but you can rely on Alexander McQueen to go to the other extreme and bring a bit of drama to Paris. He deliberately defied the credit crunch explaining to WWD, “This [economic] crisis isn’t my fault. I have to be who I am. This is hard. It’s old McQueen, aggressive McQueen. In this business, you have to be aggressive and have aggressive feelings.”

His autumn collection is sure to leave people divided (Fab US wants to know if you think it's freaky or fabulous) but I applaud his loyalty to his own creativity. The show took place around the debris of McQueen's previous shows and began with classic houndstooth designs, which could be interpreted as a dig at his previous employer; Givenchy.

He ruffled a few feathers with Hitchcock inspired pieces and bird print dresses. Then he got surreal wearing skirts as jackets, jackets as skirts, and lampshades and umbrellas as headwear.

The designer used a vast range of materials to create the pieces from goat-hair to plasticised raffia, from organza to photographic snake print, mixed with more classic textures like chiffon and silk. Shoes once again caused an issue as models were frightened to take each step. What do you think of McQueen's creations?

2009 Fall Paris Fashion Week: Christian Dior

John Galliano created a '20s inspired Fall collection filled with Indian and Asian nuances for Christian Dior. After I got past the somewhat blinding backdrop, I was able to focus in on Galliano's gowns and two piece suits. He played it safe with streamlined, feminine cuts but made up for it with bold colors, textural fabrics, and most prominently - bold prints. "I'm sure Mr.Dior would have loved these prints," said Galliano when talking about his use of Ikat prints.

Galliano's frocks ranged from hot pink mod with modified bubble hemlines to floaty silk chiffon creations in beautiful jewel tones. His two-piece suits were more structured and showed variety through different prints and colors. Also notice how Galliano edited his use of furs - other designers are all over them for Fall - by sparsely spreading them on hats and coat trims. All together, a merry, mixed bag from Galliano. By the way, we couldn't resist showing you this major buttage shot on the runway! Tee hee.

Which Model Looks Most Fab at the amfAR Gala?

To help kick off New York Fashion Week, amfAR hosted a glamorous gala attended by a bevy of models. Doutzen Kroes struck a pose in a floaty red chiffon frock; Lily Donaldson wore a champagne gown with a unique black band; Jessica Stam stood regal in a slick black number with shimmery slices; Noemie Lenoir opted for a sexy red silk gown; and Anja Rubik played it pretty in an ethereal light lavender gown. They all deserve a standing ovation but which look reigned supreme?

The fashion saga continued on Gossip Girl with Blair Waldorf looking like a beautiful hostess. In celebration of Chuck's appointment to Bass Industries, Blair wore a silk chiffon Milly top and See by Chloe tweed skirt. Which Rosario Dawson Seven Pounds Premiere Look Is Most Fab?

The worldwide promotion of Seven Pounds has kept Rosario Dawson happily busy in a bevy of beautiful dresses. In LA, the actress wore a slick Bottega Veneta nude number (which was my Fab favorite); in Germany, she shined in a silk chiffon asymmetrical gown by Azzaro; in Rome, Rosario wore a sassy Bottega Veneta LBD and a navy Ports 1961 frock; and in Paris, Dawson opted for a light lavender strapless Sonia Rykiel number with purple Christian Louboutin pumps. Tell me, which Rosario Dawson look do you prefer?

How-To: Queen Latifah's Makeup at the 2009 People's Choice Awards

At last night's People's Choice Awards Queen Latifah was a fabulous hostess. And, of course, no queen would be complete without a regal purple silk chiffon gown with multidimensional sparkles. As for her makeup? The majority of you loved it. Her look was a hit, and now I've got the details on how to be luminous like Latifah.

Seeing that the star is the spokesperson for CoverGirl, it's no surprise that celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine created her classic look with products from this iconic drugstore line. To see color selections and techniques straight from Fine himself, check out the how-to below:

Eyes: Fine applied an eggplant shade (which is easier to wear than lilac since it's closer to brown/mahogany tones) on the crease and underneath the lower lash line using Eye Enhancers Quad Eye Shadow in Ice Princess ($4.99). He also used an opalescent beige shadow on the eyelid to open up the eye. Next, he lined the top lash line for definition, applied false lashes, and some Volume Exact Mascara in Very Black ($7.29). "Mascara helps to fuse Queen's lashes to the fake lashes," he said. Great tip.

Cheeks: Since Queen Latifah had just come back from the holidays, Fine applied a dusting of Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer in Brown Bronze ($8.18) to keep that glow going. Then, he added some rosy blush on top for a subtle effect.
Lip: First, Fine used a liner to define the lip - a step he never skips. He chose a lipstick in a neutral, mauve tone and a complementary gloss called Wetslicks AmazeMint in Pink Positive ($6.25).
Costume change: When Queen Latifah changed into her green dress at the show, Fine created a completely different look just by switching up her lips. He applied Vibrant Hue Color Lipstick in Cherrylicious ($6.21), a cranberry shade, along with a matching gloss for a fast and easy metamorphosis.
